Eh, I might be in for a break from the World Cup after this cycle. It's a looooot of work to RP at a decent level(including staying up at odd hours to make sure there's enough time to finish a post, and I'm not even happy with my posts) and so far the only success I've had in football is doing good in minor competitions and either losing in third place matches or not qualifying in majors. I'm basically cursed in youth football too which is really, really frustrating since I put the same amount of work in RPing those competitions as I do with the World Cup.

Also I know results are random, but still, my luck never seems to even out despite entering every youth competition in the past year

You write to share a story, not to get results. If you write for the sole purpose of getting good results then you're not gonna have fun here, that's a fact; random always finds away to break hearts. I am not saying that wanting to win tournaments is bad, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to win tournaments, but pinging your hopes to win a tournament and then getting "frustrated" because of the results is not good at all. From what I learned in my time in NS is that you learn to take your victories and defeats with grace; if you win, celebrate, if you lose, move on.

So move on Anglatia and keep writing.

After a brief talk (behind the scenes), I have indeed determined that I'll be taking a (maybe/probably permanent) break after this cycle(during which I will attempt to close every loose end that I have going right now).

So long, guys. I'll see ya'll when I'm not jaded af(and I don't mean jaded from RPing constantly for the last year).

Probably everyone in NS Sports (and everyone IRL) have had disappointments. I've had many of them. Really all of NS is electronic data on servers in a data center somewhere. Fact is well-written RPs could give one a higher chance of winning. Or it can be one well-written RP amongst many.

Generally speaking, its best to be successful at your successes and forget about the rest, and (almost) everyone's welcome to participate in whatever they want to participate in. Best of luck to you.
