Turner has absolute power over Orson. Any command he gives is final. No one can challenge it.

So you're not afraid of other countries condemning your actions?

Sterkistan wrote:So you're not afraid of other countries condemning your actions?

Based off of what I've seen, Turner couldn't give two shakes of a stick for what anyone, including what his own Senate, thinks of him.

Due to our efforts (bussing and aircraft) we have evacuated at least 330,000 people. This includes government and private efforts.

Sounds like a radical dude, just putting it out there that since technically I don't exist until about 2200, I can't face backlash for actions other countries want me to perform.

The three mobile frames flew at an adjacent speed to the craft, reaching through the shields and grabbing on to them, using them as gun platforms, making sure not to damage the craft as they sped toward the battle, the TPG would jump from his craft punching and kicking his way through the hostile units, and with each attack it looked as if fire were spouting from it's limbs, however those were just the short-range high-density Tau cannons in the ankles and wrists. Meanwhile the SD held onto the ship, using her rapid fire weapons to protect it from all angles. The LGZ let go from it's frame and fell toward the water firing it's thrusters and stopping, beginning to take shots at units with it's swivel cannons and high-capacity Tau rifle.
There were cases with the fighters where mobile frames would catch downed craft, ejecting the pilots and then proceeding to use the craft to beat the trash out of Orion suits.
Another comms link opened, this one was only audio.
"Aim for their reactors, they aren't as heavily shielded as ours."
The connection closed.

The Ocearan Pilots despite never seeing combat would have hundreds of thousands of flight hours, and due to the cockpits being more like spacecraft cockpits than aircraft ones the Pilots would easily be able to fly and manually aim and fire their turrets -- As an evasive maneuver was a simple button press and a few dial changes. While the Ocearans had relatively few pilots, they had a high number of aircraft total mixing their highly trained pilots with AI fighters that would act as a screen for the Pilots.

Emerald Leader would ask "We have anti-capital weaponry, do you want us to split off to attack the enemy ship?"

Turner declared war upon his own ally (The SRA) seemingly because he wanted some or all of the massive amount of territory that the SRA Held.

The audio would come through, it was Francis Reskella, pilot of the SD-235S.
"Negative, Samuel has that covered, we just need to buy him a little more time."
Samuel would be racing up into the sky stopping 2 kilometers above the Orion cruiser. The suit would light up, and he would put the suits fists together before rocketing down toward the cruiser, the Tau flames erupting from his systems left fist came crashing down onto the cruiser, however that didn't damage it much, only denting the armor. However the speed from his attack as well as the fall was transferred into the cruiser, and it began to fall. It's primitive thrusters weren't designed to operate in atmosphere and it plummeted into the ocean. Disrupting it's shields and weapons, and the Sterkian cruiser pummeled it into dust.

"Well done guys, the toughest thing about these bastards are their shields, Emerald lead, get your boys out wide, We'll push them into the middle and you blast them." She jumped off the ship, rocketing into the battle.

"Rodger that" The Ocearan Fighters would fall back a distance of 140km, but would remain firing upon the Orion Frames due to the extremely long range of laser/Point Repulsion weaponry. Emerald Squadron would wait for an opening to use their Nuclear Shard railguns, waiting for the area to be clear of friendlies and neutrals to avoid crossfire. (NSRs produce mostly gamma radiation from their explosion, which would spread out at the speed of light and become harmless in concentration shortly after the blast)

The Sterkian Mobile Frames would use downed enemy Mobile Frames and the odd, downed Ocearan Fighter to beat them into a large sphere in the middle, before backing off and bombarding them with laser fire, so they had to keep their shields up. As well as opening up for Emerald Squadron to bombard them.
One Mobile Frame in particular, a squad leader model, gave and 'go ahead' signal to the fighters.

Emerald Squadron would release a massive energy burst which would create a pocket of vacuum which the Railgun round would be inside -- Heading straight into the sphere to nuke the enemy. To prevent the enemy from shooting down these railgun rounds, the Ocearan fighters would unleash massive amounts of fire to cover the approach of the railgun rounds.

The Sterkian systems picked up the projectiles, and as they approached, put up their solid shields and maxed their particle outputs quickly backing off the enemy, preparing for the ball of fire to erupt.

The Rounds would impact Orion Frames, causing a nuclear fusion event directly with the frames themselves --- releasing a blinding light that would instantly blind anyone looking directly at it without protection, as well as a shockwave that would travel 140 kilometers and cause a large wave on the ocean -- but the wave was too small to reach any other shores than the northern Madagascar shore.

Luckily the frames systems are designed to dim to different levels depending on the light influx, so in this case they basically turned off.
The Sterkian cruiser landed in the ocean and began repairs, while the Mobile Frame pilots decided to go to Madagascar for a look around, while some other mobile frames used their particle emissions to contain the radiation from the explosion.

While some of the pilots were investigating this new discovery known as 'salty water', the SD carried the TPG from the ocean and to the shore, where the LGZ closely followed, and they all exited their frames, the TPG pilot working on something in his cockpit. while the others investigated the beach where they landed.

The Ocearan Pilots would return to base, although several of them would remain flying overhead in patrols.

Do you have any cities on Madagascar or is it a military base.

Sterkistan wrote:Do you have any cities on Madagascar or is it a military base.

There are a number of cities, it is a province of the empire that has a fairly high population.

Oceara wrote:There are a number of cities, it is a province of the empire that has a fairly high population.

Gotcha, I'm assuming you have an airport then.

The pilots would request permission to land their Mobile Frames at the airport of the region's main city.

The Orson Empire wrote:(This is occurring in 2012)
The Orson Empire is wrapping up the reconquest of former Orsonian territories in Africa with the invasion of Gabon in Central Africa. 100,000 Imperial soldiers from the Congo, backed up by armor, artillery, and aircraft invaded Gabon, and the Imperial Navy has blockaded the coastline of Gabon. The nation of Gabon only has about 5,000 ill-equipped soldiers that are prepared to face the battle-hardened, technologically advanced Imperial Army. The people of Gabon are preparing to make a last stand against the Imperial forces, with thousands of Gabonese forming numerous militias to oppose the Imperial forces.
Meanwhile, thousands of other Gabonese (as well as hundreds of Orsonians who fled from other territories into Gabon) are clamoring for entrance into Equatorial Guinea (controlled by the Wagains) in hopes of fleeing to a free nation before the Empire occupies the whole of Gabon. While the Gabonese will fight valiantly, it is a futile effort, as their ill-equipped and ill-trained forces stand no match for the full might of the Imperial war machine. These people only have days to evacuate before Gabon falls to the Empire.

Dear god Turner is at it again! Luckily we don't have any territories in that area, so no need for us to worry about any threats from foreign military to insurgencies springing up! :D

Sterkistan wrote:Gotcha, I'm assuming you have an airport then.

Granted.

Oceara wrote:Granted.

The Pilot's would choose a secluded spot, away from the runway yet close to the terminal to land their frames, however some did end up landing outside of the airport on the other side of the fence, some even decided to fly over the city (with weapons holstered and at a safe height, so the particle emissions wouldn't block the communication systems in the city below)

Only some of the pilots brought clothes to put over their flight-suits, so they ended up walking around in them. While others wore jackets or hats.

Closing and locking the frames, most of the pilots set off, some in search of a bar, others looking to socialize with the locals, some decided to go shopping and a few decided to hang with the frames and watch the cars go past or train (We don't have cars).

The Sterkian fleet commander has given local law enforcement the right to detain pilots if they break any laws.

Oceara

Two pilots have begun sparring in their mobile frames in the landing zone, however they are not disrupting air traffic and are not using their weapons, however a road accident may be caused if people slow down to watch.

Pilots have begun filling the streets, looking at the food, and the people, with some, (obviously oblivious to human rights laws) walking around in singlets, with the implants jutting out of their backs.

However they appear to be well behaved so far, taking care not to do anything blatantly breaking laws. They even have spending money, a small group of male pilots have even begun flirting with the local women. (Most Sterkian frame pilots are below 30, and due to the intense training, are built like tanks)

Sterkistan wrote:The guns on the underside of the Orion craft turned to the city while the top guns turned toward the Sterkian cruiser, firing volleys into both, the Sterkian cruiser returned fire and mobile frames from both sides clashed while Sterkian drop-pods delivered units in their hundreds onto the enemy cruiser as well as the surface, and Orion units were delivered to the surface through short-range teleport.
Galaxy Squadron deployed from the Sterkian cruiser, immediately breaking off to engage the enemy.
The 006 stayed out of the heat of the battle, picking off frames and Orion ground units with it's rifle, and quickly dispatching any frames that came too close with it's pistols. However the 000, 007 and the 008 all rushed into the heat of battle, the 000 used it's superior speed to decimate units while the 007 performed rapid strafing runs on enemy ground positions as well as enemy frames. The 008 deployed it's knee and shoulder cannons, as well as splitting it's main gun in two, disintegrating any enemy frames unlucky enough to get caught in it's fire.
A message went out to the Felucian command, urging them to deploy all their units currently available to help in the fight.

After receiving the message, alarms would sound throughout the Octavian Islands as many cities began to activate their heavy shielding generators to protect the city. Five groups of Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery (SPHA)* units would be deployed from the Ellis Military Base outside of the city, each group having their own set of main weaponry depending on the group alongside Anti-Personnel Blasters. One group used Turbolasers, one used Ion Cannons, one used Anti-Vehicle Lasers, one used Concussion Missile Launchers, and the other used Mass-Driver Cannons. They would position themselves in the hills and mountains surrounding the city to use as cover for their attack of the Orion Ship. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the Ellis Military Base, multiple squadrons consisting of TIE/HU Hunter Multi-Role Starfighters*, Delta-7 Aethersprite Class Light Interceptors*, Arwing High Performance Fighters*, and Eta-2 Actis-Class Light Interceptors* would depart from their hangars towards the city. Ocearan Military forces would arrive to the area to keep order, stating that it would be best to avoid sparring in heavy machinery so close to the city. (Instead of Airports the Provincial capital has 5 spaceports, which do not have a whole lot of room to maneuver in, and are basically spaceship parking garages.) The City itself would be made up of multiple layers of transparent glass pedestrian roads with buildings stacked on top of one another, in the middle of these roads is a chamber with doorways that open remotely when monorails inside these chambers arrive to that area for people to board or leave for another part of the city. Hundreds of thousands of people would be living there, with immense biodiversity -- To go from layer to layer, there is the spaceport elevators for landing to access an area of the city, or along the rows of buildings there are some cargo and personnel elevators (and some stairs) to bring people and goods between layers of the city. The Monorail also has a cargo section for goods to be easily, and freely transported around the city.

Robotic infantry with strange energy weapons (Point-Repulsion Rifles, much weaker than any other point repulsion weapon except for maybe point repulsion pistols.. But still plenty strong enough to take out someone that isn't in a vehicle and in numbers take out vehicles as well) would patrol the streets in patrols lead by a volunteer soldier in ceremonial dress (With personal shielding active to make them not completely vulnerable, they are in ceremonial dress due to the low level of violence in the area not requiring them to put on combat armor.) each. Most of the patrol leaders, afraid of accidents, have their squads set to manual engagement, only able to engage those either attacking military forces or those designated by their patrol leader.

The City seems fairly multicultural with most of the cuisines and goods produced worldwide and sometimes even from other galaxies available for purchase there.

Sterkistan wrote:Well, I guess I underestimated his ruthlessness.

Turner is probably the most ruthless leader in the region.

Timmy City wrote:Due to our efforts (bussing and aircraft) we have evacuated at least 330,000 people. This includes government and private efforts.

It has now been three weeks since the invasion began.

The President of Gabon and the Gabonese government-in-exile have announced their surrender to the Orson Empire, and the capital of Libreville has been declared an open city (meaning that all efforts to defend it from attack have been abandoned). As a result of this, the city has not been bombed by aircraft or attacked by the Imperial Army; Imperial soldiers are now marching unopposed into the city. Now that Gabon is under Orsonian control, Turner has ordered all foreign organizations to leave immediately.

Total Gabonese casualties for the fighting are an estimated 90,000, while roughly 70,000 Gabonese (mainly soldiers and militiamen captured by Imperial forces) have been taken as prisoners of war and are currently imprisoned in various POW camps in the Congo and Gabon.

Meanwhile, Gabon has been put under the control of Orsonian Congo, and the Governor of the Congo will administer it. The Gabonese treasury is now under the control of Imperial forces, meaning that the equivalent of billions of Credits have been seized by Imperial forces; the money will mainly be used to help pay the expenses of the war.

Turner is expected to open up Gabon to settlement by Orsonians in 2013 (as of now, Gabon is still under military occupation); already, thousands of Orsonians have signed up to move to the area. To prepare for this, the Governor of the Congo is making use of the Gabonese POW's to construct modern infrastructure in Gabon, including highways, roads, power lines, plumbing, etc.
