Deep Space

Esthoth does not exterminate humans. The ideals behind Esthoth lead to the inevitable conclusion that humans are only valid as an ideal themselves. Flesh is information, an idea. Like a virus, it spreads, changes, settles in one mind or form, spawns, and begins anew. To decide what physically and psychologically represents a human, is to draw a line.

And genetic variations exist throughout humanity. Which variations would you approve of?

The influence of genetics does not stop at the neckline, nor are genes only skin deep. Do genomes within range of a certain percent match only classify as human (or any species)? Must specific sequences be approved of? It is only useful as categorization.

Once you draw that line for any moral or political standing, you are excluding someone from your "race," and once you exclude them, they can only be considered outside of human law. Be it that you treat them as animals, superiors, or something set aside entirely, remains to be seen in this theoretical event. Outsiders are not allowed full access to society, and that is what a "human" society deems anything non-human; outside, not of, beyond, different. How this affects those within the human race is already evident enough that it requires no elaboration.

It is this societal function, to include, that creates its natural mirror function, to exclude. You cannot include anything into a group without automatically excluding something from it.

It was that function which led to Esthoth's exodus into Deep Space.

Invasion would imply intent to claim. No one can claim deep space. It is space. The very notion is absurd. Now if you don't mind, we're going to bother this asteroid with Valastra's flag on it. *pokepoke*
