I suppose it's been pretty obvious from my lack of being here, but I'm pretty much retiring from NS for the time being. I haven't had the urge for creative writing in a long while, which kind of saps my will to do stuff in NS Sports, and then I'd stay away from the site in guilt of not doing anything. I'll try and come around and hang out with you guys more, even if I'm not participating much (I'll still try and do the occasional thing with Ibex and see if I can not be a total slacker in our domestic league system if they haven't already kicked me out), at least until I get the writing bug back.

I can't speak for all people who can remember the dark days of Jolt and beyond, but one of the reasons why I stick around is because it's a place with memories. Even though I lack the time, energy, and/or stamina to actively participate, every once in a while there is a brush of inspiration that draws me here, wanting to tell just one more story. And I think until I completely grow away from NS, I'll continue to do what (I think...) others do here and just loiter in the shadows, watching the youngins go out and play. Maybe it's retirement of some sort, but maybe one day, I'll join them youngins and have some fun myself one (or) more time.

I've come up with around three different versions of my IC comeback story (some may have seen it coming with my UICA entries), since repurposing the ending of Hit Man was supposed to mean I was moving on and better things could be on the way for me. What I have decided on is that Xi Foureleven asks me to come back; I explain she doesn't truly exist when she pulls a copy of the Bible off the shelf, reads a random passage and asks me if I can prove under any other authority that it's literally true. I respond that I don't know I believe. She makes a convincing argument that from a truly secular standpoint, I have no way of proving it one way or another. However, 95X is her 'reality' that has turned upside down in a short period of time, and since she is ageless she would appreciate if it were at least partially enjoyable.
You heard it from me first: leaving had nothing to do with my RL job (which is going quite well) or any other RL reason. If I were to truly leave, I'm sure it would be similar to those who just drop off the face of NS. Just know that "my RP times may be different than yours." :)
