On the contrary, I believe the RL world and NS multiverse have much to gain from those young enough to lack firsthand memory of, for example, the Bill Clinton Presidency or even Sept. 11th.

oh dear sweet lord I just realised I can actually remember when he was inaugurated. for some weird reason, my headteacher talked about it in school assembly. on a related, and equally "dear sweet lord" note...that school no longer exists.

...this is sort of depressing.

Aaaaand my work here is done. *bows*

ZURICH — Swiss authorities began an extraordinary early-morning operation here Wednesday to arrest several top soccer officials and extradite them to the United States on federal corruption charges.

As leaders of FIFA, soccer’s global governing body, gathered for their annual meeting, more than a dozen plain-clothed Swiss law enforcement officials arrived unannounced at the Baur au Lac hotel, an elegant five-star property with views of the Alps and Lake Zurich.

The officers went to the registration desk to get keys, then headed upstairs toward the hotel rooms.

it is sad that the first thing when I read the first line was to make sure that "onion.com" wasn't one of the primary elements?...

Hullo Kry!

Is it sad that when this was breaking news I did a double-take of the BBC homepage to make sure I hadn't loaded the Sport page or a sports website on accident?

If my math isn't wrong but I do believe in about ten days or so we are to see a big milestone for Fal, to become the regions longest served WA Delegate.

Actually, Falc is the longest-serving delegate, a while back a "Delegate Musical Chairs Comedy Hour" took place.

I'd imagine getting whacked by a falcon wing is nowhere as bad as getting smacked by your favorite RP character.

(Cues the voice of the late Leslie Nielsen:)

"And don't call me "Shirley!" XD

Absolutely, I used past tense making it sound as if I was challenging the Falcons power over all of us *bows head* I beg for forgiveness. Only Vilita can challenge the Falcon as he is the beginning of all AO life.

And I thought you were suggesting that we were all mindless peons of the almighty... little did I realize you were challenging our great Falcanian father! Verily, you must be punished in a cruel and unusual manner - tar and feathering.

Still a long ways to go, but Blatter's resignation is a huge step forward.

Once was accidental, once was being cheeky ;) I'm quite proud of the three total days as WA Delegate in the middle of your legendary run.
