Everything except blue and grey is in some form or another controlled by Chostea (or its colonies of Chostean japan, Chostean raj, and Chostean vietnam.
Seems like most of those are already claimed - I don't think puppets should be allowed a place on the map.
I can assure you that Japan is already occupied. Check out the recent RP on the message boards for the current state of the lands.
Clearly we will have a lot of canon issues.
Chostea, you don't get to just claim that much of the map - especially not when some of us have been here for a decade and have already claimed our spots. Sebytania and Cielonia, for instance, both own some of that territory, and they've been here a lot longer than you have. In addition, you are, quite clearly, tiny. You have less than 1% of the population of the old time nations and we don't claim nearly that much land. Content yourself with something both smaller and unclaimed.

Be reasonable, Chostea. Not only are most of those lands claimed already, but you're pretty much trying to claim half of Asia there.
Also, I don't think puppets (especially ones so directly related to their motherland) should be allowed map placement either.

OOC: I am fairly sure claiming Malaysia leads to the Federal Forces descending on you Norf Korea-style. That means dreadnoughts bristling with atomic missiles, baby, booyah.
Historically we have not allowed puppets or colony nations to be represented on the map. Nor have we allowed someone to swoop in and claim a vast swath of territory. I have usually subdivided the map into 100 to 120 territories and let starter nations pick three contiguous ones. That said, I have been way, way too busy to maintain the map in the past, uh... four... years. Perhaps I will have to start doing it again.
Chillax, none of those will go on the map. That's the claimed land in the Chostean universe, so to speak.

Are the territories of nations that have CTE'd up for grabs now? The territory where I would ideally like to be situated is already claimed, but by a collapsed nation.

To celebrate the occasion we will launch some ICBMs modified to be seriously awesome fireworks above asia! we have had these for ages but we haven't had a chance to use them but this occasion certainly deserves it.
What has occurred that merits celebration?
