I don't know if anyone is aware, but Hippiedom was invaded by the invaders - the invaders password-protected and began banning Comrade residents.
Hippiedom endured because it is a big Comrade region, and the Invaders eventually would run out of influence.
Alliance of Socialist States is smaller and has been targeted by Invaders - if it is ever targeted in the same way as Hippiedom then Alliance of Socialist States very survival would be at stake beyond just an inconvienient tagging of the WFE and suppression of posts and the upsetting of Comrade residents for a period of time.
Alliance of Socialist States is founderless and old, there are people abroad who regard you as your community as nothing more than a plaything to be played with and torn apart with contempt.
There are downsides to a password, but without one, Alliance of Socialist States's future is bleak.
