It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, the Environment, and Healthcare. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The upper class have been throwing riots after hunting was recently banned, the government seeks peaceful forum with terrorists, the government helps teach children how to kill a man from six paces, and an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Quelesh's national animal is the cactuar, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the meseta.
