The Novus Ordo Mundi of Qazox is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Dennis Halpberg with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed population of 8.953 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Education are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.
Libraries are now installed with jacuzzis and mini-bars, truth is often impossible to tell from fiction on the evening news, councils up and down the country wrangle over legal matters, and all forms of advertising are banned. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Qazox's national animal is the Qazian Ox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Qazian, and its currency is the Zaq.
Qazox is ranked 4th in the region and 53,358th in the world for Largest Pizza Delivery Sector.
