The Anarchist Confederacy of Pevisopolis is a massive, socially progressive nation, notable for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 4.421 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, liberal individuals is effectively ruled by the Department of Social Welfare, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Ravens are considered a delicacy, thousands of Pevisopolis's citizens have been evicted from their homes so as 'not to cause a fuss' on the international scene, retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, and public footpaths are being slowly eroded by the burgeoning number of ramblers. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Pevisopolis's national animal is the Raven, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Roupi.
