Transylvania is one of the three historical regions of Romania, together with Moldova and the Romanian Country (Wallachia). Having for several centuries was under Austro-Hungarian dominance, Transylvania united with other regions in 1918, as a consequence of the disintegration great empires after the First World War. Outside, Transylvania is famous for Bran Castle, where Vlad Dracul lived leader (better known as Dracula).
