But to be fair, Communism as we have seen it throughout history follows the same pattern of domination and manipulation of weaker nations.

The big companies are heavily tied to the governments of every capitalist country; and while the international companies may prefer united organizations like the EU, the national companies of each single state still keep a huge authority over politics; the Union has had detrimental effects on the Souther bloc (Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece) and there's no excuse for that.
And well, communist countries in the past haven't been so.. communist, have they? While the Soviet Union achieved very high standards of healthcare and education and everyone could get a job and atleast have a house, food and medicines, it is clear that the vanguard party shortly became a new oppressive class that replaced capitalists... that is mainly why I am against the violent revolution.
In the Soviet Union, there were no capitalists, but an élite of corrupt politicians within the PCUS who didn't mind oppressing the states of the Eastern Bloc to exploit their resources and exhibit the power of mighty Mother Russia... again, there's no communism in that.
It may sound utopian, but in my opinion socialism is first and foremost based on cooperation; it's collectivism vs individualism, and a bigger emphasis on the Greater Good would change MANY things in this old, corrupt, weak system.
