Many will remember the Lomatista uprising in Lemmingtopias. It has now been 7 years since the Lomatistas first rose up against the government and declared "Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a revolution." The Lomatistas garnered support from across Lemmingtopias and soon took effective control of their region. Across the nation, other grass-roots movements grew to resist the government, supporting the Lomatistas, as well as making their own demands for popular autonomy in their local areas.

However, two years ago, opportunists used the crisis in government to launch their own diabolical schemes. A far-right, pro-business faction arose and declared open war against both the government and the grass-roots resistance movements, bringing Lemmingtopias to all-out Civil War and crushing the government.

Now three factions fight one-another in bitter combat. The Unionists (the remnants of the ousted government and their supporters), the New Federation (the far-right coalition that is attempting to conquer all of Lemmingtopias and install a new government) and the Resistance (a network of local groups, including the Lomatistas, who stand against both the would-be governments).

Today, hoping to bring the war to a quick end, a small contingent of Unionist troops escorting His Holiness the Second Lemming Sage, arrived at one of Lemmingtopias' largest Islands, until now a member of the Resistance, to negotiate the Island joining the Unionists. But the Federation have learned of the Sage's presence on the Island and are have moved their own troops there, to try to force the Island to join the them as well as to capture the Second Lemming Sage!

Hopelessly outnumbered, the Unionists struggled to defend themselves from the Federation attacks until the Lemming Sage was able to finally reach the Capital of the Island in secret and hold the talks with the local representatives. Agreeing to important concessions, the Unionists gained a new ally and the local forces joined the fray, beating back the Federation invasion.

Not only has the Unionist Alliance grown stronger, but the terms agreed to have made the Unionists cause fairer as well. But many battles must still be fought before peace returns to the Lemmingtopian nation.
