A Whitelisted Christmas
For some reason the number of UN invitation e-mails that bounce back
asking to be "whitelisted" has rapidly increased lately. Whitelisting
is when your mail filter bounces back e-mail from anybody not in your
address book, usually requiring them to send a second message to confirm they're
not a spammer.
This is pretty effective at keeping out spam, but it's also effective at keeping
out much non-spam, like your UN invitation or password replacement e-mail
from NationStates.
So if you use a whitelist and are expecting an e-mail, make sure
you tell your filter to accept e-mails from
nationstates.net.
