Need geek help: Is there any place I can get a free, simple Db program? I used to just use MS Access for this type of thing. Imagine my surprise when it is no longer included in my software package.

ALL HAIL THE CAEK!

I had heard of something called mysql

Anything here?

Welcome. Welcome to The West Pacific. You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining urban centers.
I thought so much of The West Pacific that I elected to establish my administration here, in the Citadel so thoughtfully provided by our benefactors.
I've been proud to call The West Pacific my home.
And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through on your way to parts unknown - welcome to The West Pacific. It's safer here.

Thanks, Yy. But those mostly just let me run a Db for free. I need a quick and dirty designer for data storage and reporting. I really don't want to buy Access. But I don't have time to learn another program. I wanted to get this finished off before I leave on vacation (Saturday). Guess I will just have to suck it up and either buy Access or make due with 6 different spreadsheets. *pouts*

Do you work in the IT field Dark? Just sounds like you do.

No. I used to be a number cruncher for a Gov't sub contractor. Now I own a Home Health Care business.

Still crunching numbers. Still grumbling about the ever-present, always-oppressive government. Still stressed. But much, much happier. Having the buck stop here, so to speak, comes with some very good feelings of accomplishment. :)

I need to build something to help me track the multitude of different payment systems (and how much each is trying to rip me off) put into place since the advent of ObamaCare. spreadsheets aren't going to keep up much longer.

Sometimes I have a strange sensation when I wish I was not Queen and had a proper job because there are so many interesting individuals here, and I have no idea what they are all talking about...but it soon passes.

That's why they're called time-release your Highness

Just had a flash of Eddie Izzard's imitation of the Queen. Now I must go watch clips of him. :D

I really hate to be pedantic, but it's "Your Majesty"; however, I do realize there may be persons of a republican persuasion that lurk in the shadows, and for that reason you may call me Liz if you so wish.

Aw shucks,ya doesn't has ta calls me Your Majesty, your Highnee, now move long, yer blockin' the sidewalk

Sounds like fun, until you said obamacare and government in the same paragraph...enough said.

Sorry for the double post but I thought I'd kick off Friday Karaoke with a song dedicated to someone we all miss.

My BBD lies over the ocean
My BBD lies over the sea
My BBD lies over the ocean
Oh, bring back my BBD to me...

Bring back, bring back
Bring back my BBD to me, to me
Bring back, bring back
Bring back my BBD to me

Last night as I lay on my pillow
Last night as I lay on my bed
Last night as I lay on my pillow
I dreamt that my BBD was dead

Oh blow the winds o'er the ocean
And blow the winds o'er the sea
Oh blow the winds o'er the ocean
And bring back my BBD to me

Bring back, bring back
Bring back my BBD to me, to me
Bring back, bring back
Bring back my BBD to me

The winds have blown over the ocean
The winds have blown over the sea
The winds have blown over the ocean
And brought back my BBD to me
