Dear Delegarth,

How much wood could a Woodchuck chuck if a Woodchuck could chuck wood?

Bhang Bhang Duc wrote:Dear Delegarth,
Are those who voted leave in the recent British referendum on the EU, knuckle dragging, xenophobic, pillocks or just simple minded?

I honestly thing it is a mix. There is a huge part of those who voted to leave that are indeed influence by xenophobia and racism, and there negative feeling towards others have been conveniently exploited by interest groups in order to sway them to do their biding through the powers of democracy.

There is indeed another huge chunk of them that clearly fall into the knuckle dragging and pillock areas. I just call them outright stupid people. Not everyone exercises their democratic rights in an intelligent and educated manner, however there are a few who like to wallow in their own ignorance and idiocy, and even feel proud of it.

The sad part, the ones that could have MADE A DIFFERENCE, are the last ones, the simple minded ones. The ones who could have trusted less in the marketing of the LEAVE campaign, who could have educated themselves a little bit more, who could have tried a little bit more. Why? Cuz they are the ones to blame, to be honest. With so little difference between STAY and LEAVE, those whose vote to LEAVE was simple minded and sort of innocent, perhaps even innocently ignorant (unlike the one of those in the second group), those are the ones who could have made the difference, who could have voted the other way. The ones who will also probably pay the higher price in the long run...

So yeah, man, you know I am as pissed and disappointed as you are.

'Society' & 'works' do not belong in the same sentence.
'Benefits of Competition'....we are in competition with one another ?
'Human endeavor' should involve getting past it's own stupidity and truly evolve together.
C'est la vie, indeed

One can only aspire that it someday works. One can only aspire that we one day stop living in such an unnecessarily competitive world. And one can totally only aspire that human endeavor will one day be directed in that direction my friend.

Dreaming is free, 3D and technicolor.

When I don't know the answer, I do what any scientist does: looks for references. Hence, here is yours:

About 700 pounds.
Compared to beavers, groundhogs/woodchucks are not adept at moving timber, although some will chew wood. (At Cornell, woodchucks that gnaw their wooden nest boxes are given scraps of 2-by-4 lumber.) A wildlife biologist once measured the inside volume of a typical woodchuck burrow and estimated that -- if wood filled the hole instead of dirt -- the industrious animal would have chucked about 700 pounds' worth.

Dear Delegarth,

What does the fox say?

Dear Delegarth,

Why is this world cruel, and why do more people die in the hands of lunatics?

Hold-me-up! I feel feint! Just become a Squire! A Squire? A Squire? What am I feeling feint for? At my age I should have reached Old Fart status at very least!

Some say the Fox whines, yelps, calls, growls and barks.

Some others have indicated the fox does gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding...

Me, I am a believer that the fox doesn't says anything, as it has decided words are not enough to express without uncertainty all that is there to say. The fox believes, very deep in his heart, that those things truly worth saying can be said without words, coming from the heart.

Cuz we keep thinking of volatiles futiles things like countries, nations, nationalities, etnies, religions and ideologies. If we, as human kind, as a whole, realized we should focus on the similarities and the fact that we are all EARTHLINGS, perhaps there would be less cruelty and death... u_u

Is this... A question for your Delegarth, or just a random complaint? =P

Dear delegarth,

Do you agree with the assessment by Mr. Stick in his book "Marsupial Conspiracy: Fact or Fiction?" regarding marsupials in Antarctica that since "no evidence for marsupials in Antarctica has been found ON, IN, or UNDER the ice ... [this] proves how devilishly clever the creatures are at hiding" ?

Dear Delegarth,
Do you think the Rio Olympics should be delayed due to the political turmoil in Brazil and the Zika outbreak ?

Politics are easy to underlay actually, they are hard to follow tho. Too many egos, too much immaturity...

My favorite country is my own: Costa Rica.

Of course. Not only that, but I dare say it is evidence not only of how devilishly clever at hiding they are, but also of how devilishly evil and corrupted they are.

Have not informed myself about the political issues, hence it would be uneducated of me to answer it.
