Membership of Labour has increased hugely under Corbyn. Obviously, it's no use increasing membership if you can't attract the swing voters (which Corbyn probably can't), but it's highly unlikely that the new members OR the swing voters will be particularly impressed with the ousting of a democratically elected leader, particularly since he'll probably be replaced with some career politician. I can understand Labout wanting to get rid of him, but they should probably wait until they have a decent excuse.

It's an interesting time for party politics in the UK. Obviously Labour has its problems, but the Conservatives will have to recover from the civil war leading up to the referendum. The Lib-Dems are still suffering from the student loans debacle, and UKIP may find themselves as a party without a cause, particularly if Boris significantly reduces immigration. My money's on the Monster Raving Loony Party to clean up in 2020.

I'm only having one pint, then, most likely, it'll be bed time...

And who knows, I might wake up tomorrow and it'll all turn out to have been a really bad dream (and then I guess I'd have to go to work again...)

Soviet el paso
