Poles that time? Horse cav? hmm... I don't see that. I'd say poorly equipped - poorly dressed not living up to name of Polish Cavalry.

Dalies wrote:Hmm, no one still uses semi automatic rifles like me. The armed forces of Dalies also use bolt action rifles in combat.

Select-fire with semi-auto, 3-round burst and fully automatic is what we use for our standard service rifles. Most sniper rifles are semi-automatic, but some squads have kept their bolt-action rifles. You are circa WWII-ish tech I take it?

54 guns on a frigate, not bad for the era I'm seeing in you. We tried putting 60 guns on a frigate, many hundreds of years ago. All it seemed to do was sink for some reason...

Formbodia wrote:im thinking of waffen ss uniforms like the camo uniforms with ak-103's and stuff.

I've TG'd you a bit of input on that if you're interested.

Still, they did finish with an army of something like 800,000 at a time when one of its angry neighbours that called itself a great power was limited by a certain Great-War ending treaty to 100,000 soldiers, while the other was a numerically superior and slightly more established army full of eager revolutionaries with sky-high morale. And from a fresh upstart too. Unfortunate that they never really developed their army beyond around early 1930's equipment, tactics and just general organization. Wehrmacht 1939 was not the invincible steamroller it appeared to be, and a better trained and equipped Polish army could easily have ended WWII just as it began.

Too many polls today since I last revived myself.

Well if England and French started their invasion I think Russia wouldn't attack Poland from the east, and Germany would be defeated much sooner ~ but problem was I think Poland and Germany collaborated and planned to invade Russia together. There was a lot of happening in Poland - you could say it was very anti-semitic, and pretty much fascism was pop during that time. Poland was also very poor ~ as it had to rebuild everything from the ground ~ and had debt of gold to Jap emperor Hirohito.

Something happened; and Germany changed its heart in last night before invasion (Polish and German officers/generals were getting dead drunk in whorehouse together night few hours before ww2 was to start)

and they did develop quite few interesting weapons like portable anti-tank rifle (was deployed on cav units - poles attacking tanks with lances hehe more like anti-tank rifles haha), 1911 modification VIS and made advancements in air bombers

ps. Polish state was sponsored by Japan

The Polish state was invaded and ripped apart. The polish have endured a lot over the years. The only reason the polish would be collaborating with Germany would have been when they were under German occupation. Not exactly exercising their own independent control.

I mean before the war, there were documents shown that they planned to go together against Russia. Can't remember who leaked those documents - i think it was from KGB, and made public soon after that polish presidential aircraft was shot down in Russia near Smolensk. I think those are very true since similar documents were leaked from Vienna and France (which was part of the deal to simply join Germany)

2nd Republic of Poland was created by "gift" of gold by Hirohito of Japan to Jozef Pilsudski with aim to attack Russia and help them with coming war.

I think Poles would act as such; since they do not see Germans as their main enemy as they see Russians. If a Pole could team up with devil to smash Russia he would.

Please note, Polish history is filled with traitors, and betrayals. Poland is not a J Christ of all nations... True Nazi Germany didn't behave as gentleman killing off Polish elites by putting them into Auschwitz 1 (Arbait Macht Frei); but they were extreme gentlemen comparing to soviets.

I'll look up my sources tomorrow with docs about Polish state before ww2 making deal with Hitler to attack Russia together.

High five anyone?

So, a few cultural announcements:

1) On the trivial game, the following is correct:

The flood parasite wrote:~ Security Councillor McMasterdonia asks: Which Delegate reinstituted the Ministry of Culture and Entertainment?

I believe the answer is McMasterdonia, back in September of 2013.

I have updated the scoreboard and added a new question to the WFE.

You cannot start a sentence with a conjunction.

Capitalize "I". There is a lack of punctuation in some of these sentences. Also, "True Nazi Germany" should say "Trie Grammar Nazis".

Missing definite adjective.

Capitalize "Polish". The sentence "Not exactly exercising their own independent control." has no subject.

Thank you. Your love of grammar is appreciated.

Please do not post multiple messages in a row. >_<

but tw0 m0CH 3r0r f0r 1 rmb p05t t00 c0r33kt!!!!11!!1!!!!!!!11!1!

Seriously though, 1 post at a time please. If the posts you're quoting are too long, then just replace them with -snip-, or some variation thereof so you can compress everything into one post. There are only 10 message spots on the first page of the RMB, so having multiple consecutive posts up at once can damage the flow of conversation (I use NS++ so I don't have this problem, but most people don't have it and are stuck with the 10-post limit.)

You're more reliable than MS Word spellcheck though, and I'm not sure if I should laugh or facepalm at that. Dammit MS, just fix your stuff already!

Olvern wrote:I enjoy reading posts from The true grammar nazis.

I don't. I find their posts to be idiotic. There is a difference in usage between casual and formal writing.

McMasterdonia wrote:Please do not post multiple messages in a row. >_<

Yes, I agree. Multiple messages in a row is bad.

Oh, this was us in a modern tech war, a year and a half ago! We had one sailing frigate, the Sea Lion already afloat, and we prepared another smaller frigate, the Sea Tigress, from a nautical museum. Fortunately our opponent's navy consisted of coast watchers with lawn chairs, fishing rods and beer coolers on styrofoam pontoons, and a big green floating frog barbecue and swim platform. We managed to dent the side of one of their steel-hulled banana boats, landed the llamas and their guards on the beach, and captured their president on a banana plantation with a very successful hot air balloon invasion. After that, we drafted some white papers on upgrading our military; tuna boats didn't seem sufficient anymore.

@ The Dictatorship of The True Grammar Nazis: Thank you. You've reminded me of the comic in my wallet where a mendicant is milling in a crowd of people on their mobile phones. He is carrying a sign that reads, "The end of spelling and grammar is near".

And now I am worried about my own stylistic errors in this post...

I've gotten 11th, 11th, and 12th in the last 7 days and needless to say my feathers are quite ruffled.

I like the way you're building your nation, Dutchy. Higher and higher in nice censuses. Congrats on being featured!
