You're welcome! Glad to have you!

Have you joined the off-site forums yet?

Thanks

Why does it take so long for issues to come up and don't you think this game would be better if you could set up trade deals with other nations, go to war etc....

Ya'll are tearing yourselves apart.

Depends on how you see it.

Those aspects of the game are for the player made roleplay.

Malphe wrote:Depends on how you see it.

Well I for once think that brexit is one of the biggest mistake UK has done.

You could buy my cheese. Esplandian cheese is the best in TNP. It's true. How many metric tons do you want? I'll put you down for five million, okay?

I think getting involved in the slave trade would be number one. I wouldn't even put brexit in the top ten. Only time will tell though.

You have a point. But thinking of the possible consequences i think it deserves at least to be #10

Slave trade, invading North America, imperialism in Afrika, Middle East, etc.

Not only the British took part in such actions, the whole "westerners" of the time have a share of blame

Life goes on, but I have hope for the future, even with Trump vs Hillary here in the states. My kid was finally accepted into a school so yayyyy!

Hermaes wrote:Not only the British took part in such actions, the whole "westerners" of the time have a share of blame

The people who deserve the blame are long dead. I just hope we learned from their mistakes and can be better for it

True. We were talking about the Brits, though.

Their descendent too. The ones who uphold the evils of old are also responsible.

The people have the tendency to forget, that's why history repeats itself

Well it's different when you and your powerful friends make the same mistake and it's worse when you do suck a thing all alone an have no one else to blame.

This leads to a circular argument of unending blame and justification and is unhelpful in coming to a solution to the problem. It's like when my wife wants to discuss our budget she just really wants to blame me for not making more and that one time I bought something nice for myself while I continue to actively try fixing the problem. All this does is create pointless arguments that further divide people.

I understand the cause of your stance, but that example, idk. My example would be if 1 family screws over another family and profits from it. 10 generations later, the screwer family is living the high while the screwed over family is in the dumps. The screwed over family's been trying to get justice, but to no avail. If the screwer family still keeps their stolen money from the screwed over family because the incident was "too long ago", is that justice? Is that moral?
