I had a classmate several years back who introduced me to it, I got really interested in political science lately so I decided to make a nation here

I found it on an online forum in 2013. Was instantly hooked from the beginning and have been playing since. Ol' Mercon has come a long way since.

That's how a lot of people find NS. One of the first things that pops up when you search things like "political simulator", "country simulator", etc.

Well, I was looking for a Country Creator and then I found this website.

Here's a brief description: I just got EU4 a game which a friend recommended me. I started to get into it and found my self playing (almost) everyday. I slowly started to get interested in politics, geography, and diplomacy. EU4 only spanned into 1821, so I wanted to find a modern nation simulator. I tried the internet and searched up 'nation simulator'. I started with Cybernations, but it looked out of date. Then, I found NationStates and signed up as Asceria. I mainly focused on myself and answered issues. Everything was overwhelming to me, the regions, the telegrams, and offsite forums. I slowly forgot about the nation and let it cease to exist and moved back to EU4. Months later, I remembered NationStates again, and then found Caeserland and jersey and some other puppets with it. This time, I founded my own regions including 'The Northern Territories', 'The Holylands' and finally 'United Communist Kingdom'. I then started to move on and found Sytarenne, to officially start actually getting involved in some regions, which started the period of my modern history with NS.

^^

And luckily, it spawned into TNP

A few classmates of mine found the website and we all set up accounts to start our own region. It was fun but everyone kinda just stopped playing a few years ago. I left the dead region and came here, haven't regretted the decision yet!

Damn, can't even hire good assassins these days...

Anyone here about nationsgame.net? It's a very good simulator. It's how I expected NS to be the first time I joined it :/

I remember that game. Had the nation Assyria but forgot about it because it was rubbish. I had another nation, but I can't remember what it was called.

I had another nation, it ceased to exist, very looong ago

I just started. It looks interesting, I might as well give it a try.

For somebody with a lot of common sense, you do seem to take the illogical route in everything you dont understand.
