Why Communism is Far Better than any Other Form of Governance

Communism.

In the West, communism is an evil word. An evil ideology. Associated with the "evil empire" of the USSR, China, and North Korea, people assume communism is the ruling style of choice for evil, psychotic dictators.

This is not exactly what communism is. Communism is the belief where everyone-everyone-shares everything equally. For example, let's say you have a dairy cow. Ten people help milk the cow equally, then everyone gets an equal portion of the milk.

This makes sense, doesn't it? Why shouldn't everyone get the same amount of everything?

Take America for example. Sone people have millions of dollars and hundreds of fancy cars. It would be almost physically impossible to spend all of their money in their lifetime, and no one really needs twenty cars and I think no one understands the point of a gold plated bathroom, and said good played bathroom is useless. What makes it different than a regular bathroom? Does it automatically wipe your ass?

In America, and many other societies, you have the really really rich people, the middle people, and the really really poor people. The rich don't need most of their things and most of their money, but the poor people need some of that stuff, for food, let's say.

So, in a perfect world, no matter if your a doctor or sanitation worker, everyone should get paid the same amount of cash. Corperations should be outlawed; food, power, and water should be government regulated in order to ensure no one exceeds the amount they need, and that the people who need it don't ever get less than they need.

See, the reason communism is hated in the west is simple. Well, both reasons.

The rich people.

The rich wreck the communism idea. They are usually greedy and don't want to give up their millions of dollars and twenty three cars. They have everything they want, which is more than they need.
This aspires poor people to be like them and, as such, turns the ones who succeed into rich, greedy people.

Yes, this was meant to be insulting to rich people. Oh? Your not greedy? Have you made sure every homeless person you can afford to feed has gotten three hot meals a day, proper clothes, a bed, and shelter? No? Didn't think so.

But, you see, communism today isn't perfect either. In fact, it's far from it. People should be paid ten dollars an hour, but utilities provided free by the government. Corperations should also be outlawed; they always try to make money which should be distributed to people who need it, and corperations really don't need all those billions of dollars anyway.

Communism is perfect, but as long as there are greedy people in the world, it will always be despised.

Glorified Space Truck
The MEV Magdalena’s crew pods spun slowly in the Expanse, the huge ocean moon of Sindahri five hundred miles below. Amrit Samarindra stood in the Command and Control Deck of Habitation Module 1. They had entered Sindahri orbit just eight hours ago, and the Magdalena was now doing scans of the planet. Their landing site for the research station had been decided months ago, a small volcanic island in the Southern hemisphere.
“Lem! Give me reactor and fuel status!” Amrit shouted. Lem jumped in his seat and fiddled with a tablet.
“Reactor is stable. We are at 70.5% full. In other words, we’ll have fuel to burn when we turn Maggie around.”
“I hate your puns.”
“That’s part of my charm!”
Amrit sighed. The small research station and potential future colony was currently stuffed in the truly prodigiously large freight module. It looked deceptively heavy. In reality, the freight module was canvas sheets wrapped around a light metal frame, with smaller meshes separating compartments. Inside each of the compartments was a wedge shaped brick of cargo with a heatshield and parachute module stamped on the top. All of the equipment and supplies would have to be either dropped down to Sindahri or flown down in the shuttle.
“Attention! This is Samarindra speaking. Please be packed and gather in the hub in exactly eight hours. No excuses will be accepted. If you are late, the shuttle will leave without you.”
He looked thoughtfully at the edge of the viewing port, gazing at the swirls of clouds beneath.
“Drops to begin in two minutes. Target landing site coming over horizon!” Lem said. He mashed the keyboard. Fortunately, the ship being of Mekkadon design, a lot was automated… including the drop modules. The computer could release them with far more accuracy than any human.
A shudder passed through the ship as explosive bolts fired, shoving the wedge shaped module away from the hull.
“Two modules disengaged. Modules will enter Sindahri atmosphere in approximately 1 minute.”
The Magdalena rotated, two more modules shot off. The first two were already spinning in space, maneuvering thrusters puffing to orient the heatshields correctly.
After fifteen minutes, all modules were ejected and floating in space around the Magdalena. The computer would then send them down, two at a time, one group per orbit.
“Renentry initiated!” came a robotic chirp. Little jets of propellant spurted from two modules as they began to descend.
Amrit sighed. In just another few days, he and Lem would be the sole passengers aboard the Magdalena, and would journey home. It would be quiet, peaceful, even!

Imperial News Network

After two days of intense debate in the round table council. The Emperor has made it clear that Ausruni will be officially severing relations with Katha. Ausruni will also be defending Felkesjud's sovereignty by attempting to dislodge Kathan forces from conquered territories. The Imperial Family fervently believes that they should be helping out a friend who needed that help in first place rather than letting ourselves be idle and concern ourselves with our opulence of not caring. During the course of this week Ausrunian forces will be mobilizing towards Katha's coast.

In other news, the annual tournament of the gods in which a warrior it the pit fights patronize a god. Whoever wins has that god being worshiped more. Tickets sold out to see the bloody spectacle were sold out yesterday a week after they were announced. Nearly 30 gladiators have signed up to the tournament and are now preparing to wage battle against each other. Members of the imperial family will be attending the tournament. Already many of the gladiators are being sponsored and toylines are being created as we speak.

That is breaking news and will be back on these topics tomorrow. May the gods bless your lives.

After long due silence, nations around Kriemhilde can easily distinguish its troops moving from the borders of it's country: moving into the sector of 1110. The main bulk of the soldiers deployed would be attached to the 6th mechanical infantry division and the 14th infantry division

A notice would also be sent out to Vaetoria & Krakheim, notifying that Kriemhilde's international communications are now back online and is active.

So "Stop White People" is trending on Twitter......time to get off the internets for today..

OOC statement: Something I did for fun and to make the future Combine Sector Forces space fleet better organized for when I begin designing new craft.

Y300 National Space Ship Classification List

Dreadnought: This space ship fills the role of a massive, well-armored, well-armed warship meant to lay down suppressive fire, to lock enemies to a certain position, then allowing smaller warships to outflank the enemy forces. A dreadnought class warship is armed with long-range cannons and missiles and on-board munitions factories as well as massive power generators. The space-going dreadnought is necessarily tied to supply ships.

Carrier: This space ship can come in many sizes, carrying multiple types of small space-borne craft. An Escort Carrier stays with the main fleet and protects other vessels using fighters, bombers, and drones. A Fleet Carrier is well-armored and equipped with more anti-missile and anti-fighter weapons, carrying a larger number of craft for combat/resupply/rescue, and can serve as a command ship.

Battlecruiser: This space ship is meant to fulfill the role of a primary combat vessel. Unlike their shorter-range battleships that are tied to the main fleet, the Battlecruiser is designed to take the fight to the enemy territory, and even their homeworld. With this mission, the Battlecruiser has spare part and ammunition factories, larger crews, full sick bays, and larger cargo bays, along with the best FTL systems in the fleet. To deal with all tactical situations that arise, the Battlecrusier is armed with a vast array of weapons.

Battleship: This space ship's role is that of the heaviest combat ship in a fleet. While the Battlecruiser is made for long-range combat away from the support of their bases, the Battleship is the main short-ranged ship killer. The mainstay of any fleet, these ships are armed with heavy anti-capitol ship weapons, and the armor to take a pounding. These ships are the largest produced of any warships in the fleet.

Frigate: According to the space ship doctrine, the Frigate class of ship has been declared OBSOLETE.

Destroyer: According to the space ship doctrine, the Destroyer class of ship has been declared OBSOLETE.

Light Cruiser: This space ship's role is to function as a protector for stations and settlements on the frontier. These small warships are necessarily tied to supply lines, and have limited FTL and armaments. These vessels are too lightly armed, armored, and limited range to be used in main battle fleets.

Heavy Cruiser: This space ship's role is to be the fighting companion of Battlecruisers. They are long-range warships cheaper than the Battlecruiser. Heavy Cruiser are more massed produced ships, and mostly likely the first warship on the scene.

Missile Cruiser: This space ship's role is to launch heavy attacks against opposition forces and then retreat. These limited use warships are constructed on an existing spaceframe, like a cruiser, but with much more limited abilities. The Missile Crusier is uses quick in-and-out FTL systems, that allow this ship to target an enemy fleet, jump in, then with the massive frontal missile launching tubes, it peppers the enemy ships with massive fire-and-forget missiles, then jumps out. Sometime after the missiles reach their targets, the rest of the warships jump in and finish off the confused/damaged vessels.

Assault Ship: This space ship's role is that of a multi-role warship. It mounts the weapon systems to deal with other combat ships and cargo ability to transport marines with light armored vehicles and a few drop/gunships to the planetary battlefield. Assault Ships are a vital component of planetary invasion forces and boarding actions against enemy ships.

Corvette: According to the space ship doctrine, the Corvette class of ship has been declared OBSOLETE.

Patrol Ship: This space ship's role is limited for purposes of mass production and defense. These small lightly armed, armored, and non-FTL ships operate in a settled star system, watching for criminals, pirates, rescue operations, and monitoring trading.
Patrol Ships are the first line of defense in case of invasion. No space fleet is big enough or has the money to keep main line warships in every colonial star system.

Hospital Ship: This space ship's role is to strictly serve as a support vessel. The hospital vessel is stationed in orbit above a planetary conflict zone or disaster area, and renders aide. Hospital Ships carry full sick bays and can also serve as mobile research/treatment bases for epidemics.

Science Ship: This space ship's role is to allow its crew to better study the universe and investigate strange things of a seemingly non-military nature. It is imperative that a proper Science Ship have truly impressive FTL systems, probes, and sensor systems. Science Ships serve as mobile research bases and transporters for scientific personnel in support of studying virtually anything.

Construction Ship: This space ship's role is to serve industrial needs in a support role. It is capable of launching many smaller craft to perform all manner of tasks in order to construct space stations and even assist in the construction/repair of other starships. They carry few or no weapons of any kind, specializing in using advanced tools, machinery, and skilled crew to solve engineering problems and perform simple but highly necessary jobs.

Scout Drone: This unmanned space ship's role is to search for enemy ships, bases, gathering points, suspicious activities, and things of interest that could be anything in space (including comets, asteroids, debris, natural resource sites, etc.). In wartime a Scout Drone is used to locate and report the locations of enemies.

Explorer Ship: This space ship's role is to operate independently and discover new worlds and civilizations. Explorer Ships are well-armed, with marines, science labs, landing ships, repair factories, and the best FTL and navigation system available. The explorer class vessel is able to be away from their base and supply lines for years. Naturally, these vessels are in number and very expensive.

    I'm curious...

Any active veterans, could you offer me your opinion on a second Novian invasion? Not like Obrek, but targeted toward a specific entity on Lero -- Think the ISA intervention in Killzone 3, but a rescue mission or liberation. I'm thinking that It isn't feasible to use small shuttles to save the oppressed survivors of the former Lerodan Enclave Administration. I'm currently working on a story arc that begins ten earth years prior to Y300, the year the Tol Confederacy makes contact with the United Roman Reich. This is extremely important.

As it stands, Glaedirsgrad is a ward state under Virshia and is being colonized by it's Republic. While they're struggling to make progress, they've succeeded in keeping the majority of the local population under tight control with Virshian special forces known as 'Rangers'. In Y295 a fresh batch of Rangers is sent to Glaedirsgrad to discover the source of an unknown Terror element that has been increasingly active in the destruction and deaths of colonists with orders to root out the faction for the Virshian Army to take care of. During their flight, their escort is taken out and their plane is disabled forcing a crash landing in the mountainous jungles below. From here, the story with take a few wild turns, eventually coming to present day Lerodas. I will then continue where I left off with my Lerodan Ambassadorial mission which -- I hope -- will lead to a long awaited Liberation.

The only Nation in system with the ability to detect incoming ships months in advance is -- to my knowledge -- is the United Roman Reich (Refer to his Eyes of Endolen), and as The Confederacy and Reich are on peaceful terms it is not unrealistic that Tol can use this to it's advantage. Before reaching it's final approach, there will be a broadcast directed toward Lerodan Nations so as to not incite war where otherwise there would be peace. After that, Tol will land in the birthlands of the Haali'sra species and wrest back control of the lands long enough to shut down the ghettos and repatriate Enclave Citizens and others of the same species in other countries. Of course, that is just a rough outline of my plans for the future. I will admit I am withholding some pertinent information. It wouldn't be fun to read if y'all knew everything before I had a chance to post it.

But I digress... Active Vets, think on what I said and let me know how you think your nations would react.

    Franz-mekkado

Also, I meant Y300 is the Year of open contact with URR, not Y295.

I like the sound of it... it would, of course, destroy the secrecy of Tol and possibly the Mekkadon colonization of Polirus, but that could be a good thing, as it would open up the way for other Lerodan nations to begin looking at the system, in this regard timing would be important, Tol wouldn't want to sacrifice TolMek plans in Polirus, so perhaps 300 is too early for a direct intervention... If you'd like, Tol could contact Franz about intervening so as to maintain the secrecy of TolMek for the time being... but in general yes, it sounds good to me.

    Arak tyr

Hokay, so while I was spending the day playing sh*tty MMOs, I got an idea to get around the whole "horns make using armor difficult thing".

Since the Rodori do conscription, how about having the horns be cut to a certain length as a way to signify that the person has done/is doing their service? That way, horns are no longer an issue, and there's a practical reason for it too.

    Thoughts?
