OOC: Well there's still the others. Going to avoid Chancellor though, he scares Stan.

OOC: No point in having a holier-than-thou approach. Some prefer drinking, others prefer playing sports, and others still prefer flirting with every creature they see walking down the road. :P

(Ah, the "Jack Harkness" approach to diplomacy. Very interesting.)

So in this image, is a good idea of what I think a MAIC Units would look like in combat uniform. Particularly the one on the right, not ASIMO. See here:

The government was happy today to announce the opening of a rehabilitation centre for dissidents and criminals.

The rehabilitation centre, named the Stalinsky Gulag, is a maximum security prison, with programs focusing on rehabilitation and corrective procedures rather than punishment.

The centre is in the north-west region, near the military compound of Muscovy.

Political dissidents, would-be uprisers, and serious criminals will be housed in the Stalinsky Gulag.

The government has been applauded for their efforts in further reducing crime in the nation.

HIMS Conqueror to be formally completed tomorrow for Emperor's Birthday Celebrations
The Imperial War Ministry has announced that the behemoth new capital ship, HIMS Conqueror, will be fully completed and present for the Emperor's Birthday celebrations tomorrow in Bainbridge. The colossal capital ship, which measures over 1,600 feet long and weighs nearly 147,000 tons, has been in construction since August of 2012, and was formally commissioned into the Imperial Navy at the Emperor's Birthday celebrations in 2013. Production on the giant warship has been aided in recent times by the influx of pony refugees from other nations, which has cut the completion time down from five years to three. The ship will commence its first voyage from Velorca to Bainbridge tomorrow morning before being toured by the Imperial Family, after which it will be attached to and become the flagship of the Grand Fleet stationed in Bainbridge.

The completion of HIMS Conqueror coincides as well with the full realization of the Empire's new turn into isolationism, as ISB agents have been spread across the Empire to ensure that any foreign individuals still within the Empire after tomorrow will be apprehended and incarcerated as foreign spies and agents. Already 150 individuals, including those from Yasuragi, Koopaville, the United Kingdom, and Hapha have been seized as potential foreign agents and held without bond; two Imperial citizens have also been apprehended as "foreign dealers" that empathize with the foreign threat as well. The Foreign Ministry has stated that the aforementioned individuals will be released upon the surrender of any and all personal and business property within the Empire, after which they will be escorted to Imperial borders and set loose. The Imperial Senate has recently passed a memorandum that suggests the construction of large walls at the Empire's western border, to ensure no unwanted foreign influences can enter.

In other news, the Emperor has reportedly returned to the Imperial Palace in Bainbridge, after a period of a week away at Dartmoor Mansion south of the capital...

The People's Republic would be more than willing to accept any hard workers that the Empire of Valcouria is so willing to turn it's back on.

The government would be willing to dispatch an airplane or naval convoy to save any workers, farmers, or soldiers that Valcouria is abandoning.

No foreign interlopers are allowed.

All foreigners have been returned to their countries of origin in various states of care. More relaxed and less hateful of Valcouria for those escorted by Changelings and the opposite for those forces out by the ISB.

The Grand Duke thanks Empress Lacewing for the safe return of his citizens. On the other hand, it is estimated that around $250,000 worth of personal and business property has been lost out of potential millions.

OOC: I'm interpreting this turn of events correctly, yes?

OOC: Valcouria is for Valcourians now and every foreigner that got moved out by me got to keep their stuff while those harassed by the ISB/PF are either dead, injured or have lost nearly everything.

OOC: Alright. At least I'm not horribly off. Regardless, at this point in time, most of the past human supremacism that characterized my government has been forced out or wiped out. Basically, I'd say that damn near everyone that I had sent to Valcouria is safe and has most of their property.

I feel real sorry for Yasuragi's citizens though...sorta. Still haven't changed their views and will probably be killed for it.

Koopaville wrote:OOC: I feel real sorry for Yasuragi's citizens though...sorta. Still haven't changed their views and will probably be killed for it.

OOC: I wasn't aware I had any citizens/tourists in Valcouria after weeks of protests, flag-burnings, lynchings, and so on. If Valcouria's killing/imprisoning people of Yasuri ancestry, however, that's his problem, not mine.

OOC: None were killed except in the first few days, assuming there were any. All foreigners came under the protection of my hive and were safely returned.

OOC: Er, sorry, I meant Valcourian citizens of Yasuri ancestry* -- that's his business and problem. I assumed/will assume all my citizens got out either before, during protests, or with the Changelings. Thanks for that, by the way. Saves us all a nasty international incident.

OOC: I personally think Valc didn't know this or bother to pay attention. Either way, it doesn't matter anymore at this point. Hopefully, you got your money out in time.
