Furthermore, considering how in 2013 79% of the world population died, 7% survived, and the rest turned infected, 21.7% of the population survived in 2014, and 24.4% survived in 2015, expect your population to crash if it follows the worldwide average. P.S.: being the pacifist nation that I am, I plan on researching a cure, if the three options stay the same (exterminate zombies, research cure, join zombies).

According to the reports from the past with regards to these events, the incredibly large regions tend to implode into zombie wastelands unless they are very organized in response. The extermination and research choices tend to be more effective when your soldiers and officers/scientists are still alive and doing the same thing as other nations.
