When we've voted on it. I was going to allow a bit longer for people to read the constitution but I'll put the vote up now and just run it a little longer.

After a slight hiccup in the set up...

Poll on the constitution is now open.

It'll be open for 7 days.

I like the idea of involving the founder in the political process but I think the constitution as a whole is a little too chunky. It doesn't clearly set out such offices have which powers beyond generic "he appoints she with approval of we" statements. That prevents the constitution from getting bogged down but it also leaves it open to abuse and confusion.

I disagree Tay. I think it is quite clear in how the offices work around each other. I vote in favor!

The next poll should as if players are active and if they do not answer, we should remove them from the region. If activity is the problem then let's only keep active people here. Other regions actively remove players who do not stay active to a reasonable level.

My proposal is losing? Why is the region so resistant to change?

And I do not think your idea is a good one Tecan.

Not everyone is! :)

We aren't resistant to change we are resistant to the same delusions of grandeur that everyone assumes we will eventually have. The region has basically maintained the same level of activeness over the the last couple years so you can't have a government that has a bunch of positions because there isn't enough active residents.

The proposal only mentions 3 permanent positions: President of the Region (founder), President of the Government (WA delegate) and President of the Regional Assembly (regional officer). The others it names are all temporary as needed.

I guess some people have not read the document....

Whenever we have temporary positions no one seems to want to do them. Example one being the last elected "Regional Assembly" no one even showed up for a meeting.

I would say the wrong people were elected. Inactivity causes inactivity. The name "South America" alone can attract players. Look how many "Latin America" style regions there are and how active they are. But because we were seen as inactive players do not want to come here. I do not think it is a bad thing that people try to help and change that. The worst is when people say "no" but add nothing. What do we do? Keep being a puppet storage?

Ok so we create a large government....who then fills all the positions. We might as well make everyone part on a parliament ith a rotating presidency

It's not a large government. There are 3 permanent positions and one of them is the founder. The second is you or whoever is delegate. The third is someone will poll powers to be President of the Regional Assembly.

Any other jobs mentioned is temporary (judges) or only necessary with activity (like ministers).

He must have used a fancy writer. This is what I managed to translate.

"A totalitarian state to harmonize Spain. The function of all the capacity and energy of the nation inside of a national unity, in which work which is estimated to be a right, will be the only exponent of popular will. And in this, they will be able to manifest an authentic feeling of the Spanish people, upon entering those natural aspects like the family, municipality, the association and the corporation, to help cristalize in reality our supreme ideals.

PoliSci Today - The Amwestheimer government condemned Rio Canan forces for detaining fishermen from People's Guyana stating that aggression especially on neighboring nations cannot be tolerating especially without international agreements demarcating maritime boundaries. Amwestheim support neighboring Guyana which separates it from Rio Cana.

The Prime Minister of Aurea has said he will not comment on the incident until facts are more clear, but added, "If there was illegal crossings, Rio has the right to react." He went on to tone down his comments saying he is convinced that this is all a big accident.

You have angered the Emperor. But the Emperor has a good sense of humor which is why he is transmitting (over and over) the following song in protest into Amwestheim.
