What were they?

A baseball one and a Ecology one

ER's Antarctic treaty idea might work?

Neragua wrote:ER's Antarctic treaty idea might work?

Yea but that might be pretty short given we are just having a simple treaty. Maybe a financial collapse?

Also I have finally got my hands on a decent laptop so I will make those updates to the wiki, if I get round to it I will add an Antarctic treaty.

Simple doesn't mean we shouldn't.

Hello everyone, this is a puppet of Walminghaven (some of you may know me as Gibberan). I have been watching this region for a while, and I finally decided to move a brand-new nation here. I hope I can become an active and contributuing member of this regional community.

If I may, who is the regional mapmaker here?

Welcome!

Neragua is our mapmaker. :)

Thank you!

Can I claim this: http://postimg.org/image/ks651jjmb/ ? (sorry for the bad quality, I rushed on MS paint)

http://iiwiki.com/wiki/File:Map_of_South_America.png

That is the current map of South America.

Also you must become an active citizen to gain a space on the official map

Also can someone please fix the map so all my territory is present. The western most reaches are cut off for some reasons

Yeah, Am's shape is real screwy-looking, like someone took a giant bite out of each side of an apple. Also, I claim the territory labeled MK as my own.

Trujillan federal republic thanks your iiwiki updates. Love the countries grid, I wanted to do something similar. Can you change mine to military dictatorship junta please? Cheers!

Gibberan's experience in Esquarium certainly helps.

When it comes to the official map, some changes are not shown. For example, some months ago, "Aurea" acquired the territory that the former nation of "IN." controlled. In return for our approval of this land takeover, "Rio Cana" Northern border was extended to the mouth of the Amazon river which originally use to be our Northern border. Some time ago, another play which was centrally located (he was landlocked) moved his nation Eastward to make room for a new nation on the map that wanted a certain location. But in doing so, we lost part of our Northern territory that bordered the mouth of the Amazon plus a major city.

I believe the "IN" was the former nation of Insigria.

Neragua could you stick a link for the regional IIwiki in the world factbook entry please?

Ah, I see. Who is "MK" on the map? Is he/she still around?

MK = Mikterra

Not sure whether he still is around...

Regarding IIwiki:
I'll include the IIwiki link to the SA region page in the WFE. I'm also going to create a thread in the forum to note changes made, otherwise we could see things being added/deleted that the region hasn't/doesn't approve of. It'll also help us set direction for the regional page(s) on IIwiki.

The thread won't be to debate every change: if you feel it's warranted, go ahead and edit (as long as it's regional only) but note it in the thread (once it's up). There's the history on the IIwiki edit page but people rarely leave notes. Otherwise, edits will start running away and sh!t will start flying. I've already had PMs from 2 people with grievances about edits made on IIwiki that break established regional precedent.

Regarding the map:
It's due an update. Busy week at work but I'll try and update it on Wednesday. There are a lot of changes, including 3 expansions (provided the land isn't needed in future) and some removals.

As always, the number 1 map rule is: to get a space, you have to be a regular and active member of the OSF. There are no exceptions.
