I could use some clarification here from Val, but I believe you can only enter *one* puppet into the CR, not two. Even if your parent nation is not in the region.

East Yerfilag is not my puppet. He is another player.

Additionally, I only entered one nation into the last CR anyway, regardless of whether or not the other "Yerfilag" were mine or not. (And by the way, he is not.)

Can I just clarify that I still wouldn't be averse to the provision of a grebe.

And their post is now gone.

That's fine- I'm not S Yerfilag. I'm a different person. We used to reside in the same region (Yerfilag) before it was destroyed.

I don't know about you lot, but I'm liking this update.

Also, TWO MORE YEARS!

Two years till what?

All Hail Eura!

The fact that you even had to ask that question tells me you are in need of some serious gulag.

It's time for a revolution Eura! We've been under your oppressive regime for a long time, we demand elections! VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

I kind of like the way things are right now, so maybe not?

Long post coming: maybe I should write a delegate blog. Anyway, delegate hat on.

I am still considering appointing a deputy officer with some basic controls should me *and* Wigu be gone for a prolonged period for some reason, which isn't unforeseeable. But we have no need for any sort of council imo and the poll we had somewhat represented that. I know you're joking but it occurred to me I should clarify that as its been a while since the poll and I never really explained what action I intended to take from it - the answer is little because I felt it was a bit inconclusive. However I have been considering, as I said, appointing a deputy since then. The way the Rushmori delegacy has sort of worked in the past, to my knowledge, is that a competent, active and senior user keeps doing it as long as they feel like it and provided they are not a bad delegate, and although it doesn't involve much I've enjoyed it for the past two years and I hope you guys feel I haven't been too useless or anything. Been a bit slow on the CR winner update a few times but otherwise I think I've done ok. But I'd like to explore the deputy option because it means that if I couldn't do it anymore and the change was very sudden, we would have someone in the interim to manage things and, if there was competition for the role, draft some sort of election regime. For now and hopefully the foreseeable future though, I'm happy doing the job and will continue to take on board any suggestions as to how we can improve as a region. The other appointment I have considered is that of a recruitment officer, because we could really use some new blood; it will always be difficult to match AO for sporting activity but I still think we could get more active people in, especially with some of our most treasured nations being somewhat inactive.

On the topic of activity, I have two bits of news aside from my considerations regarding a potential deputy delegate or backup etc. The first is that the Capital of Culture will be back very soon, and I encourage you all to have a go at it. Its been about a year since the last vote because its been low on my list of priorities and very few people seemed keen on bothering with it. Now there's been a bit of a gap and activity in the region has bumped up again with some wonderful new users, I intend to reanimate it in the next couple of weeks. I will send out a regional TG in an effort to boost participation. Also, if you are working on a bid or anything, please feel free to post details or an IC teaser in the RPA Newswire in the regional description, because it could use some love. Several of us regularly post newspaper articles about Rushmori affairs in the WC and forget to crosspost them to the RPA, myself included, which is a shame because otherwise it would be super active. Electrum, Ceni and New Gelderland for example all have some great articles that can go on there if you want to post them, and I'll catalogue them in the OP as I've done with previous articles.

The second bit of news is that I've been thinking about how I can use the WA delegation more effectively. I know that as a region we are not huge on the WA and its noticeable every time a vote comes up that only a handful of us actually participate. That is why I've been so reluctant to splash out approvals for WA proposals, because to be honest unless its something I have an interest in and explicitly agree with, I feel like I can't vote to approve something unless the region wants it. For that reason, I'm considering some sort of process through which you guys can lobby me or any future delegates to approve of a resolution or proposal so that it can go to vote; I'm not sure how it will be done, but it means that the few of you who are actually engaged with the WA can get me to actually do something with the extra powers. It might just come down to "please TG me if you have a good reason why I should approve something".

Wonderful stuff, Eura. Personally, I can't really be all that bothered with the WA, but I'm a bit fond of Rushmore as a region. I'd say that it's a good idea to have a deputy, but not particularly necessary. If for some reason you become less active, I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to inform us about it. Otherwise, most nations will notice and we'll just elect someone new in the office. But it's always nice to have someone for backup. I'd say that a long resident with quite a bit of activity would perfectly fill that gap, PIS maybe? Just throwing in a suggestion.

And I can't promise anything, but Tenderville might be up for becoming the CoC, since it's always in the shadow of the nation's capital Peregrinus City. If I've got some spare time I might get a bid in.

PIS and activity have sort of been mutually exclusive over the past year or so, unfortunately.

PIS has been very inactive, I had in mind someone else though.

I hope it wasn't me, I'm already a WA delegate someplace else. :P lol

I reckon you're probably safe.

So, who do you have in mind?

Nethertopia wrote:So, who do you have in mind?

My guess is if you are them you know, and if you're not the only thing you need to know is that he has someone in mind.

Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party? :p
