I however take the NSTracker title of having the most powerful per capita economy (well, one of the most powerful now :<) seriously ;) I know that's still kinda out there, but.

That's good! Mine is at about 200 people per sqkm, if that means anything seriously bad/dangerous.

Anyways, that's my last post, so good night, and, of course, good morning to FormerUS ;)

I play HM as even larger than it is gameside because who cares its a game not a lifestyle and it doesn't matter. Have fun.

100 million people packed into the Sahara. I got plenty of space!

Considerate fun is best fun! Especially when RPing!

Considering everyone's rich, probably sensible.

I guess it's because they're such a tiny nation. There's lots of poor people living in the neighborhood, but as long as they can keep those people outside of their own speck of land, their own average wealth stays high.

Maintaining a high GDP per capita in a nation that also has a lot of capita is more impressive.

Why support the corrupt bourgeois and leave the poorer people behind? :c

When did I say I support doing that? I just said it looks like that's what Qatar is doing.

I know you're better than that, but those people are just plain evil.

Alright, Stahlarev will plan a campaign to take over the middle east! All we need now is to find a way to stop the insurgents from eating up our money

Money, Money, Money it's a rich mans world

On a semi-related note, a while back I crunched the numbers and given the scale given on our regional map, the Pony Lands is about the same size as the Earth in area. Overall, I think it's probably best not to think too much about the physics of the main NS planet if you want to keep some semblance of sanity. :P

Issue #332: Summit Security Spending Stirs Strife

Odd, I'm pretty sure I just got this issue last week. Very recently too.

366: General officers in the Stahlaren Armed Forces are requesting the criminalisation of "stolen valour" - the impersonation of decorated service members, often with the motive of financial gain.

Ha! Yes, Quatar has a very high GDP per capita. As does Luxembourg. Find something interesting about these places that are in common?

I'll give you a hint: They're both small, laissez-faire countries with plenty of money. The main difference is that one gives money to terrorists/freedom fighters and funds Al Jazeera, while the other is mostly just the European equivalent of the Caymans. If you ask me, we should just ban rich people from storing their money in offshore accounts; how that would impact local businesses I don't understand.

It's like with many things: The obvious solutions aren't mentioned. For instance, why doesn't Obama just pardon all the kids crossing the border so that they don't have to be deported? It's within his full authority as President to do so.

Andorra has a high GDP. But not as much as Qatar

Qatar's petroleum industry is owned by the state

Maybe you should research the topic then before making such decisive statements

Because he would be out of office in the matter of days

Well, I did NOT know that, but now I do! Oh well, then it's crony capitalism :P

Urmanian wrote:Maybe you should research the topic then before making such decisive statements

Probably, but I don't see what's wrong with keeping personal savings/checking accounts within US boundaries. I could understand that it might make banking uncompetitive, but it's already pretty darn uncompetitive as it is, and you can always switch to another of several thousand US banks...

Urmanian wrote:Because he would be out of office in the matter of days

I doubt it. For one, at least until the midterms, there aren't enough votes in the Senate to kick him out, assuming the vote is on party lines. And second, he's not doing anything illegal; it's well within his powers as President to pardon illegal immigrants within the US. Then again, there's already a move to impeach him for signing executive orders that have had little to no effect on the nation as a whole...
