Fortunately, the pretitle is also misspelled.
An equal but opposite mistake is in your post, too.
Oh. Duh, 'you're', not 'your'...
I was looking for a title that meant that I lead the ponies while also implying that I was no better than any of them.
It's hard to find a word that specific.
"Princess".
It derives from Latin "princeps", meaning "first", evoking the Roman concept of a "first among equals".
((Yeah, but "first citizen" (princeps civitatis) was also too "leader-y".
I don't really know what I'm going for.))
Actually, "First Citizen" works pretty well. Nice republican term for folks who want to abolish the idea of a class system. Napoleon used it before he went all Emperor-y on everyone.

I'm not dead.
Ok.
I'm going to watch the next episode now, so here's my last thoughts before I've actually seen it.
Overanalytical fans have been commenting for a while about how pony society is rather skewed towards females, with all of the alicorns and Element-bearers and most other prominent characters being mares. Still, when you're just talking about eight characters or so (the main 6 + Celestia and Luna), it's somewhat believable, if improbable, that there's no reason there couldn't be any stallions among them, and there just happened to not be any.
In fact, there was only one episode on the show that I felt was explicitly sexist: Sisterhooves Social - why aren't brothers allowed to compete?
And now it turns out they're airing an episode named Brotherhooves Social, so I'm curious where they'll take it. The last episode mentioned Applejack and Rarity having to miss the Sisterhooves Social (because deus ex mapina), so combined with the episode name, I'd say Apple Bloom/Big Macintosh character development is pretty likely. Not sure what role Sweetie Belle will get to play in this - as far as we know, she and Rarity don't have any other siblings.
Well, I'm off!
...And then it turns out that Sweetie Belle is almost completely absent from the episode, and instead it's Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo that stole the show. (Funny how ponies are a lot more competent when they're not the ones scheduled to learn a friendship lesson this episode.)
Hi undead person! You're just in time, a lot of your kin will be coming in a few weeks!
Noo!
I want to be a special snowflake.
As great and funny the episode was, the only down side is when you go back and watch the last weeks episode "Made in Manehatten" and ask yourself, "Why did Hasbro have to make Twilight act all bored and instead go to watch the Sister Hooves Social?!"
Wow, someone wants to Condemn the WA? What?
What I don't understand is why it hasn't occured to Twilight that if she wants to tour the world so badly, she can go visit places without being on a quest to save Equestria.
Seriously. There's stuff she's excited to see Griffonstone or Manehattan? Just go there. Doesn't have a be a special occasion. Bring some friends if you want (if the other main characters can't come, try asking Twinkleshine and co. - remember them?).
Unless she's worried about leaving the deus ex mapina unattended in Ponyville. Because not having your life controlled by some unfathomable abstract force that plays you like a puppet would be too horrible to contemplate.

That reminds me: I'll need to get that zombie tracker up and running again.
The thing is, she is very intent on following rules. She sees the Map as a higher power than her, and as such has to abide by its decrees.
I think Silver Quill (or joshscorcher [all commentators sound the same to me]) stated it best, but I can't use YouTube on this computer to get the exact quote.
So a couple guys on 4chan started a "piss for equality" hashtag as a joke and now people are actually pissing themselves for it.

And don't forget that she has royal duties as well (off-screen of course), so she can't just abandon her castle for an impromptu excursion to a faraway land.
Or go back and check on Sunset Shimmer and friends now and then like she did on the movie at the end!
Because their are some people who will actually believe what they see on the internet, while the rare smart people can see through all this.

You could have just stopped there.
The rest is redundant.
It's possible to argue different opinions about the deus ex mapina. I think it's a dumb plot device because it diminishes the story's weight and the characters' accomplishments by having them merely be pawns in the hands of fate, foreordained to win by an infallible omniscient mastermind, but at least it's a dumb plot device that, if it actually existed, it would be a good idea to listen to.
However, even if you accept (both as in-universe sensible behavior and as out-of-universe good storytelling) Twilight subordinating her initiative whenever the deus ex mapina has an important mission to her, that doesn't justify her refusing to take initiative when she isn't explicitly being asked to do anything right now. That's just defeatism.
Onscreen her royal duties seem to be pretty much limited to "do whatever the deus ex mapina tells me to". We never see any ponies voluntarily coming to Twilight to have her help with a friendship problem, let alone her being useful at the numerous non-friendship-related administrative duties that she's supposedly good at.
...Okay, I now remember there were a couple of royal duties in Trade Ya and Princess Spike. Neither of which, incidentally, took place at her "castle".
...And Party Pooped. Yeah, okay, there's a little more than I remembered. Still doesn't take up the majority of her time.
She was still bored, which kind of contradicts any assertion that she's too busy with official duties to take some time for herself.
Also, whatever duties she has aren't enough of a bother that she can't free a slot in her schedule when the deus ex mapina does tell her to.
"Smart" is a scale, not an on-or-off value. How many smart people there are depends on where you draw the line.
