Tanks for the Memories in a nutshell:

Rainbow Dash has never heard of home heating.

"When the weather grows cold and less food is available" - except that it's easy to keep a house warmer than the outside, and canned pet food is readily available in any season.

To be fair, there might be complications in trying to heat a cloud house, but then that's because cloud houses are dubious to begin with. (Even if pegasi can magically walk on clouds, what about the rest of the stuff you're keeping in your home? ...Like, say, your tortoise?)

Now granted, while it's often possible to artifically prevent pets from hibernating, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea. As Fluttershy says, hibernating is healthy for tortoises.

(We never get told what species of tortoise Tank is, so I can't say for sure. Some species of tortoise hibernate and some don't. Also, I'm told by Wikipedia that some hibernating animals can avoid hibernating if artificially kept warm while others will hibernate yearly no matter what, with no specific mention of tortoises/turtles on that page. But a site on at least one species of tortoise commonly kept as a pet - http://www.hermannstortoise.co.uk/hibernation.html - mentions that it's possible to prevent them from hibernating but doing so is bad for their health, so I'm going to give Fluttershy a pass and assume this applies to Tank too.)

But if you're going to try to prevent a tortoise from hibernating, keeping him warm and fed at home seems like a more reasonable approach, that should occur first to just about anyone, than trying to sabotage the entire season.

But no, obviously the simpler and easier solution is to stop all of winter! So that she can enjoy doing, umm, all those winter activities she wanted to do with Tank. Like extreme snow sledding without snow, and building snow ponies without snow, and having snowball fights without snow...

Also, let's see if the next few episodes consistently show it being winter.

Speaking of episodes having no sense of chronology, I guess this means Hearth's Warming Eve and Hearts and Hooves Day must have taken place before May The Best Pet Win!.

Funny thing is, he probably slept a lot anyways through every season.

I must say that's one impressive trend line. :p

In other news, we question whether or not the citizens that are supposedly now living in fear of glowing mushroom-shaped clouds all over Nukehavistan are actually Nukehavistanis.

You know sh*t is serious when NN says anything on the RMB.

Arcanium of mars wrote:Funny thing is, he probably slept a lot anyways through every season.

Nah, he just moves so slowly that it can look like he's asleep even when he's wide alert.

But yeah. Most of the show is about the ponies, not their pets. Tank hasn't had that much screentime.

...Wait, you don't know whether you meant to do this or not?

Anyway, never lower taxes. How often do I have to say that?

I think you produce enough fear to go around for everyone.

His main Equestrian States recently left for Atlantian Oceania.

The Pandas wish to build an Embassy.

Hmpf. They're not real pandas, they're just bears that look a bit like pandas.

By the way, something that the episode didn't mention is that tortoises typically start seeking a mate immediately after waking up from hibernation...

Funny.

- this is Not my Primary Roleplaying Nation. Bulkan well still run all the roleplays and all, this puppet well just run some more.

Just got the start of the Brasilistan series. I'm a bit excited since this is the first chain issue I'm doing. That and trying to pick options that Magicus would pick. Since Brasilistan is stealing Magicus citizens I think there would be a uproar since I've designed Magicus to be an Unicorn Supermacist nation and they would not be please to see filthy swine stealing members of the master race.

I'm still waiting.

Hey, nothing in the issue indicates what race Brasilistan is (largely because it wasn't written with ponies in mind). What if they're unicorns too?

Though now kidnapping unicorns for diamond mining is making me think A Dog and Pony Show...

Funny thing about that Is during the crusades many Christians died because they spoke another language than the crusaders. Same can be applied here, only that this is a racial thing. They might stand under two different flags but who to say their ideologies the same? Magicus could veiw them as lesser Unicorns, kinda like the Great Schism event. Both are the same concept but they do not get along with each other's.

Basically you're going to destroy Brazilistan's very way of life?

Squeeheart wrote:Basically you're going to destroy Brazilistan's very way of life?

Who doesn't want to? It's the only nation on NS which isn't gonna complain that they lost so quickly.

Squeeheart wrote:Basically you're going to destroy Brazilistan's very way of life?

Role play wise yes, however it all depends on what options there are. I doubt there is going to be a option to burn them all at the stake. I've read in the forums that there was a option to nuke them which would be considered merciful by Magicus standards. So yea it all depends on what kind of issues I get.
