I object to the inclusion of Rap, because it is clearly not a genre of music at all. It's more akin to poetry.
Good rap is akin to poetry or song telling. But (most) mainstream rap tends to be
"I'm amazing, drink enough expensive beer to kill a bear, can steal your girlfriend by glancing in your general direction, have a massive sex organ, make Bill Gates look poor, will kill you for some reason, and do enough drugs to put a Cartel put of business."

And that's why I don't hate rap, because some of it can be good. I'm just not of a fan of rap in general. But your right there are some good songs out there.
Listen to Rap god. Techno rap, and ain't none of that. also, Toy soldiers, and I Need A Doctor, If you need more, Mockingbird. All by Eminem. Tell me what you think of rap after you've listened to some of the better rap.
Umm, I already said that good rap is well, good. However listen to any mainstream rap like No Flex Zone, A$$, My Ni--a, We Dem Boyz, My B**chs love me, Lifestyle, Anaconda, Booty, or any number of songs from a lot of "artists". For every Eminem, Jay-Z, or Nas there are twenty Wiz Khalifa or Rae Sermmurds which brings the entire genera down.
I don't even really consider that rap, that's like hop, and pop combined with rap. it sucks. I mean REAL rap. not that Bull.

It's just different versions of the same genera. Paramore and Smashing Pumpkins are both Alternative Rock, but sound completely different.
