The thing is I do not live in a Western Country.
Eastern Europe FTW.

Arguably still a Western society, if we're dividing between East and West. But that's still an oversimplification. Point is, meat is expensive, often redundant, and sometimes not all that good, but we have it with everything anyway.

I'm just saying I don't know Dutch, some German, but no Dutch.

Just don't give him the wrong impression of our dear region :)

I don't actually speak Dutch, sadly. I am learning, but thus far I still only know phrases.

Not my fault. And I can't say I'm especially moved by your plight since you were not the intended recipient of the comment. Not everyone here knows German, either.

Do I recall correctly that you were using Duolingo?

Remaining crusaders

Ah Doulingo,I learned some Portugese, but I gave up,not that it's hard, especially Latin languages are easy, but RL things, and the problem of not speaking Portugese with anyone.I may try German,I do it at school and I'm still at ''Hallo!'','cuz worst teachers are best teachers.

Adaia wrote:Do I recall correctly that you were using Duolingo?

That is correct. Actually, it's kind of funny. My wife has started learning Spanish on Duolingo. I'm doing Dutch and German. My daughter is learning Dutch, German, and Danish. Now my son wants a Duolingo account :)

Well then. Austria-Hungary seems to be using its military might in the balkans, and the Spanish flu is spreading. That sucks.

That's good. At least something good's happening.

Remaining crusaders

what might you ask about Austria-Hungary?

Remaining crusaders

Seb said something about military power of Austria-Hungary in Balkans, and Austria-Hungary dissapeared in 1918.

He was referencing the buildup to WW1...
More of a comparison of the situations actually with Russia being Austria Hungary and the Balkans being Ukraine, The Spanish Flu being Ebola and yea...

Yeah but the Spanish flu was at the end of the war, right?

Waulfenspire wrote:Yeah but the Spanish flu was at the end of the war, right?

To be honest I'm not too sure... Haven't covered that in history yet, I do know that it accompanied the war however...
