THE AGREEMENT

This document contains the agreement between the regions listed above known as the 'Christian Regions Cooperation Agreement'.

AIM
The Christian Community on NationStates, whilst being a diverse, vibrant and large community, in the past has existed with a limited degree of cooperation and in relative isolation. Seeking to redress this, we recognise that in our diversity as Christians, there is more served by coming together than remaining apart. We aim to work collaboratively pursing common objectives and goals, placing God at the centre of everything we do, recognising the strengths of working together rather than apart. This agreement forms the basis of these goals, establishing itself as a means of seeking greater cooperation and interaction among Christian Regions.

The 'Christian Region's Cooperation Agreement' is:
-A basis for increasing cooperation, integration and interaction of Christians on NationStates.
-An expression of the will for greater unity and cooperation among Christian Regions.
-An enforceable agreement of freely associating Christian Regions, executed in the spirit of the agreement.

The 'Christian Region's Cooperation Agreement' is not:
-A treaty or establishment of a supranational organisation or government for reasons of roleplay or otherwise.
-An ecumenical council, declaration, statement or any other thing which has a similar effect or outcome.
-A vehicle for exclusion or division and is not a statement or definition of the Christian Faith.

ARTICLE 1 - MEMBERSHIP
A) Membership of the CRCA shall be open to all Christian Regions in Nation States.
B) A Region shall be determined as a 'Christian Region' for the purpose of membership when:
i) Upon application, a Region of 2 or more nations has a name which clearly suggests a Christian affiliation or has some other feature which so clearly identifies the region as being a Christian Region, and;
ii) Accepts the 'Statement of Faith' as defined in this agreement.

ARTICLE 2 - STATEMENT OF FAITH
This 'Statement of Faith' is created with the intention of harmonising doctrinal differences between Regions and Nations.

We believe:
A) In God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
B) That the Bible is the inspired word of God.
C) Man obtained a sinful nature by disobeying God, removing mankind from a position of grace.
D) God promised Abraham he would make him the father of a great nation, Israel.
E) Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and to Mount Sinai where the Law and 10 Commandments were revealed, after which he led them to Canaan.
F) After returning from Egypt, God led the Israelites through Judges, Rulers and Prophets.

We believe that Jesus:
G) Is God’s only Son, our Lord, the Jewish Messiah who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born to Mary of a Virgin birth.
H) Preached the Gospel to the 1st Century Palestinians during his ministry.
I) Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.
J) On the third day he rose again, he ascended into heaven,
K) He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
L) That Jesus Christ will return, reign over all the earth and establish the Kingdom of God.

We believe in:
M) the Holy Spirit; the holy universal Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

ARTICLE 3 - AREAS OF COOPERATION
(*) Indicates a compulsory area of cooperation.
(^) Indicates a voluntary area of cooperation.
A)* All members shall open and maintain Embassies with all CRCA Member Regions.

i)This clause shall in no way restrict the open discussion of religion between members of regions.

ARTICLE 4 - GOVERNANCE
A) Each Member Region shall become a member of 1 of the 4 Conferences: Catholic Conference, Orthodox Conference, Protestant Conference, Unaffiliated Conference.
B) The administration of the CRCA shall rotate between the 4 Conferences so that each Conference administers the CRCA for 3 nonconsecutive 1 month terms per year.
C) When administering the CRCA, the respective Conference shall appoint a nation from their Conference as 'Agreement Convener', who shall be the Executive Officer of the CRCA, in anyway that Conference decides.
i) No nation may be 'Agreement Convener' more than once per year.

ARTICLE 5 - CHANGES
A) A majority of Member Regions and a majority of Conferences are required to add to, remove or change any part of the agreement.
B) To suspend or remove a Member Region a 2/3rd majority of Member Regions and a unanimity of Conferences is required.
C) Unanimity of Member Regions is required to make changes to Article 2 - The Statement of Faith. Let it here be noted, that the Statement of Faith is not meant to accurately reflect the personal faith of Member Regions, but to be the common ground on which this CRCA is founded.

Given the interest several otherwise biblically conservative regions are showing in joining the "CRCA" being put together by the Trinity-denying Christadelphians, I'd like to draw attention to a series of posts I published recently on the Trinity, and why I believe it is unbiblical to enter into such a partnership with heretics.

Thank you for your post, I hope to treat you with kindness and respect. Many Christadelphians have used those same verses to promote separation from other Christians, I do not aim to do so. The CRCA was a collaborative effort between a number of different regions. Completely up to every region if they'd like to join. If The Conservative Christians has chosen not to, that is Okay too. In all my time on NS, I have never attack or spoken badly of a nation which has a different theological point of view to me. I have never discussed the Trinity with another nation unless they have asked me and normally these discussions have been fruitful. Whilst no one has changed their position, we usually come away more enlightened. A few weeks ago, a nation placed some pretty damaging and hurtful comments on numerous RMBs tarnishing me personally and completely misrepresenting my faith. There was minimal to no condemnation of this by officials of regions or other nations which I was disappointed about. I have never accused anyone of being unchristian because they have a different belief to me. It is not in my heart or mind to do so and I believe that Jesus would want us to abstain from blaming others but would want us to come together in our faith in him. If it feels better for you to criticise my faith and community like this so publicly, please continue. I will not resist. Luke 6:29 says 'If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also.' and I'm giving you the opportunity to continue to criticise me and my church if that is helping you and your faith. I will not resist and you have the full floor to continue. But remember that behind the RMBs, nations and the internet, you are making statement about real people and a real faith community. I can promise you that I will never mock you, insult you, or deny your faith. Do whatever makes you feel better but there is only love and acceptance from me in Christ's name:)

I apologise. I was under the mistaken impression I was dealing with a Christian region that placed value on biblical truth. I shall say no more.

I think that unless there is significant interest in joining this intra-regional organization, we won't really be considering joining it. We have usually seemed reluctant to join intraregional organizations in the past with the exception of Right to Life.

It seems not many people have even considered it, and those that have seem to have reservations, so it does not seem likely we will be joining.

I just want to point that this kind of sarcasm is unbecoming of Christians. While we may have differences in belief that doesn't mean we should belittle each other. We are suppose to love our brothers and sisters in Christ. I do not want to see relationships with other regions crumble nor strong mutual friendships in this region be tested by this kind of speech.

Lutheran Party Announces Candidate for Chancellor
Aero, Vos Istra
5/08/2016 8:25 p.m.
Jay Allen, AC

Today in the capital city of Aero, Vos Istra's Lutheran Party announced their candidate for Chancellor. Lutheran Party leader, Robert Pierce, had this to say at the offical party press conference;

    "We believe that the future of this nation should be entrusted to a man of experience and respect. This man must be able to lead not only this nation but also the region should we be elected Secretary-General. That responsibility must be entrusted to someone of stature and incorruptibility. Therefore I am pleased to announce that our candidate for Chancellor is the Sentator from the great state of Minnesota, Martin L. Matthews.

After Mr. Pierce addressed the Press Senator Matthews proceeded to speak;

    "I'm honored by the words of Mr. Pierce and overcome with gratitude and the responsibility that is being asked of me. I wholeheartedly accept the Lutheran Party nomination for Chancellor of Vos Istra.

While the Sentator was brief his expression of overwhelming emotion was genuine and moving. Expect other parties to nominate their candidate in the coming days.

Prop 1 Fails at the Polls (By Culture of Life)

On May 1-8, Right to Life citizens went to the polls and voted down Proposition 1: Freedom from Discrimination. The first formal referendum in regional history, Prop 1 utilized Article 7 of the Constitution of Right to Life, granting citizens the right, by petition, to bypass the Senate and initiate direct public votes to recall regional officials or to amend regional law. Prop 1 sought to augment RTL Code 9:13, which bans private discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, or sex. New protected classifications would have been religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and political affiliation.

Supporters of the bill argued that Prop 1 was desirable because it would prevent region members from treating one another unreasonably, especially in the regional marketplace, and because it would show the world that Right to Life is an open, tolerant society. Opponents contended that the bill was unnecessary because there is no history of private discrimination or prejudice in Right to Life and because regional law already protects citizens from unjust discrimination by the government.

Both sides of the debate appealed to the region's bill of rights. Supporters said that there is an "important regional interest" in forbidding private discrimination and that the regional judiciary would read the legislation, if passed, narrowly. Opponents said that Prop 1 would violate the fundamental rights of conscience, religion, expression, association, and contract, all of which the region's bill of rights guarantees.

Although none of the region's political parties took an official position on Prop 1, the bill's main supporters were members of the Liberals for Life Coalition (the region's center-left party). Its main opponents were members of the Libertarian Party (libertarian) and the Life Party (right-wing). Conservative Federalists (center-right) and independents were largely divided.

There was 55% citizen turnout in the election. Among voters, 52% were against Prop 1 while 33% were in favor. "The people have spoken," proclaimed Stellonia, the co-leader of the "say NO to 1" campaign, following the defeat of the proposition. United Massachusetts, the leader of the "Yes On One" campaign, commented, "I just want to say thank you so much for the tremendous support in opening up the Big Tent to all pro-lifers. I promise you, our time will come." In the near future, anti-discrimination will remain a salient political and legal issue in Right to Life as candidates stake out positions ahead of the June senatorial election.

Appellate Court Decides Spam Case (By Ovybia)

In an unusually long court case, the defendant and now regional citizen Texasa was accused of posting "a large quantity of intentionally disruptive, spammy content" by regional citizen and former senator Stellonia. Texasa admitted that some of his posts were unnecessary, apologized, and claimed that his motives had not been malicious. Justice of the Peace New Dolgaria ruled against Texasa, explaining that spam is spam regardless of the motives behind it, and then sentenced him to a temporary forum ban.

Texasa appealed the case to the Senate, which is not only Right to Life's legislature but also its court of appeals. After written arguments by both sides and multiple posts by amici curiae, including the region's founder, Culture of Life (Christian Democrats), Senator Imperii Ecclesia delivered a unanimous opinion partially reversing the lower court's ruling. In its decision, the Senate said, "Spam is the sending of 'disruptive online messages.' Texasa did commit it, but his intent was not malicious. Therefore, he does not have the same culpability as someone who intends to spam. . . . We [the Senate] think that even though he is guilty, he has since bettered his ways and has tried not to commit spam and should not be banned."

Texasa and one of his lawyers, United Massachusetts, expressed their joy at winning the case, which spanned several months. Texasa reapplied for regional citizenship shortly afterwards and was accepted.

Citizens Debate Private Senate Forum (By Ovybia)

The issue of whether the Right to Life government should maintain a Private Senate Forum, where senators can discuss their duties in secret and where other senators (in some cases) can face legal penalties if they publicly disclose such discussions, has raised accountability concerns among a number of regional citizens.

Founder Culture of Life (Christian Democrats), Senator Imperii Ecclesia, and former President Aawia have been the most vocal defenders of the private forum, arguing that it is useful for regional governance for senators to have a place to discuss their ideas without worrying about partisan grandstanding, external interference, or security leaks. Imperii Ecclesia compares it to the NationStates telegram system, saying that if you'd like to see the Private Senate Forum eliminated, "I think you should also [write] to NationStates to ban telegrams, [and have] Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc. ban email, and Verizon, AT&T, etc. ban phones."

Citizens who support abolition of the Private Senate Forum argue that senators shouldn't be entitled to special privacy privileges and that they should perform their functions in the public square. News Director Ovybia, who along with former Senator Stellonia has been pushing for abolition, compares the legal penalty facing senators if they disclose certain private information to a gag order. "A gag order is an order preventing someone from talking about something. In this case, [the government is] forcing permanent gag orders on people who may not want them and never asked for them."

RTL Reaches Out to Liberal and LGBT Regions (By United Massachusetts)

Under the leadership of President RCS (Conservative Federalist Party) and Foreign Minister United Massachusetts (Liberals for Life Coalition), Right to Life's embassy program has taken a bold new turn. Right to Life traditionally has had a more difficult time reaching out to liberal and LGBT regions but recently began exchanging embassies with, among other regions, the Place That Has No Big Banks (the world's largest region of Bernie Sanders supporters), the Transgender Region, and Gay Equality.

United Massachusetts is elated about the new embassy projects. As he put it on the regional message board (RMB), "expanding embassies, especially with regions typically shut out of the pro-life message, is a very good thing. There are pro-life gays, and we need to reach out to them. We are pro-life, not socially conservative. Improving dialogue will be a positive step for both regions." Right to Life has since adopted an informal policy regarding said regions, outlined by Culture of Life (Christian Democrats): that Right to Life residents discuss life issues on others' RMBs while letting other regions use Right to Life's RMB to talk about gay and trans issues.

While Right to Life's response to liberal and LGBT outreach has generally been positive, several citizens wished to clarify that the region doesn't necessarily endorse liberal positions, homosexuality, or transgender identification. Several residents have said that embassy construction should follow a careful route. One citizen opined, "Since we are starting to get embassies with more immoral regions, I think we should exercise caution. Although I have stated that embassies are not endorsements, I do think we should not establish embassies with grossly offensive region names (such as "Hell") or regions with grossly offensive World Factbook Entries." This belief was broadly affirmed by both the Founder and the Foreign Minister, who added that there is much to be gained from reaching out to gay pro-lifers and liberal pro-lifers, many of whom sometimes find themselves feeling excluded within the pro-life movement.

Regional Labor Union Opens (By United Massachusetts)

Foreign Minister United Massachusetts recently founded the first labor union for Right to Life's governmental employees, dubbed RAGE (the Regional Association of Governmental Employees). The union has expressed the desires to negotiate higher wages and to expand workers' rights. Two people have signed up; however, many citizens are skeptical. One Right to Lifer urged governmental employees to "abstain from wasting their time on this." Others asked whether Right to Life really needs a union. In response, proponents argue that unionization will help balance the regional government's fiscally austere tendencies. At present, the Bank of Right to Life holds almost 50% of the region's capital.

UMC Withdraws Abortion Support (By Culture of Life)

On May 19, the General Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) voted 425-268 (61%) "to withdraw immediately from membership in the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC)." The RCRC, originally the Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights (RCAR), is a faith-based association of Christians, Jews, and Unitarian Universalists that promotes the legality and availability of elective abortions and contraceptives in the United States. Under the guidance of the United Methodist Board of Church and Society, the RCAR/RCRC was established in 1973 to oppose Catholic social teaching on abortion and to counter efforts to restore human rights following the U.S. Supreme Court's infamous Roe v. Wade decision.

In its recent legislation, the UMC denounces the RCRC as "a one-sided political lobby" whose "advocacy often directly contradicts our Social Principles." For the pro-life movement, the UMC's turnabout in its abortion stance is a welcome change. With 3.6% of American adults identifying as United Methodists (Pew Research Center 2015), the UMC is the third largest religious denomination in the United States. Already, the two largest denominations -- the Catholic Church (20.8%) and the Southern Baptist Convention (5.3%) (Pew Research Center 2015) -- explicitly uphold the dignity of unborn persons. It is not yet clear how the RCRC, having lost its earliest and chief benefactor, plans to continue its anti-child, anti-mother activism.

Catholic Party Announces Candidate for Chancellor
Aero, Vos Istra
5/09/2016 10:27 p.m.
Jay Allen, AC

Today the Catholic Party became the second party to announce their nominee for Chancellor. Senior Senator from Illinois and Catholic Party Elder, Peter Robinson, addressed the Press;

    "In my 35 years of Public Service never has an election been so important. For the first time Vos Istra will have a nationally elected leader to govern this nation. This leader must be a man of integrity and high esteem. The man we have chosen to be our nominee is a man of virtue. Therefore the Catholic Party's candidate is my good friend and colleague, Lord Governor Duke of Montana, David J. Kontur."

After Senator Robinson announced the nominee Lord Governor David Kontur rose to the podium;

    "Ladies and gentlemen of the press, esteemed colleagues, my wife and children, I'm humbled by my party's decision to nominate me to be their candidate for Chancellor. When his Majesty held a retirement ceremony for me at the end of my career in his Majesty's Navy I didn't think I could be more proud than that moment. But now I can say that this honor that has been bestowed on me is the proudest moment in my public life. Thank you to everyone who was involved in this decision."

As of now the Lutheran Party and the Catholic Party are the only parties to nominate their candidates.

Race for Chancellor Heats Up
Aero, Vos Istra
5/10/2016 9:40 p.m.
Jay Allen, AC

Today the race for Chancellor just got a little hotter. The Liberal Christians Party and the Christian Libertarians Party annouced their candidates, while the other parties offically announced their endorsements. The Liberal Christians Party made their announcement this morning, Party Chairman Bernard Sands made the announcement;

    "This country needs new leadership. This country can no longer marginalize the LGBT community and the poor. We need someone who isn't afraid to make changes. We don't even have a public education or health care system like other countries in the LCN. Therefore the LCP nominates Representative Franklin Coach."

Rep. Coach had this to say;

    "I will bring changes to Vos Istra. I've been fighting for minorities and the poor all my life and as Chancellor I'll be Champion for the poor."

The Christian Libertarians Party also announced their candidate today at party headquarters. Party Leader Parish Carlson had this to say;

    "In this country we should be allowed to keep to ourselves. The government should not tell businesses and individuals to do something they don't want to do. We're going to nominate a candidate who's going to do just that, get rid of all pointless regulation that gets in the way of the people being left alone. The Christian Libertarian Party nominee is Senator Paul Randal."

Senator Randal stood and approached the podium;

    "Vos Istrians deserve a government that will leave them alone. We need to keep the government out of individuals personal lives and corporate decisions. I will make sure this happens as Chancellor of Vos Istra."

In a surprising move the ruling party, Conservative Christians Party, abstained from nominating a candidate but rather officially endorsed the Catholic Party candidate, Lord Govenor David J. Kontur. A full list of party endorsements is at the link at the top of the article.

So here's a question for everyone. Does anyone have something that their country is really advanced in? For example like a specific technology. Like advanced tanks or space Fighters. That kind of thing.

Well, although we are mostly MT, the UCS has developed, and mostly uses, hydrogen fuel cells for vehicles. This is for government and civilians. There are, however, still combustion engine cars on the road, so "gas" stations still sell gasoline and diesel beside liquified hydrogen, so driving to the UCS in combustion powered vehicles isn't a problem, but driving abroad in hydrogen vehicles can be problematic and isn't advised

Chemung is actually pretty much PMT in a MT world in almost all of its technologies at the cost of not having a concept of war or violence, and therefore no military technologies at all. I'd like to imagine that civilizations with stone age technologies have more advanced military technology.
