I'd like to see more people voting on the 2014 Constitution. Are people getting bogged down trying to read all 19 pages (in Word)?

If you haven't yet read the Constitution and voted, please do so now. Several of us put many, many hours and meticulous care into the document as it now stands. Please affirm our hard work by reading the Constitution and voting (I'd obviously prefer in the positive). ;)

Not to mention it would make you walk like an Egyptian.

That's extremely impressive, since the tiles only go from 2048 to 4096... :P

Explain to me how to do some of the stuff im doing in calculus...

I math very well, just as I grammar so good

I haven't had internet for like a week :((((

Embrace the time for reflection.

Greetings gay....just looking in on our territories.

I voted in the Constitutional Convention. You should too. *points at everybody*

After that it'll be election time, which I'm thinking will begin after Christmas and end in mid-January. Start thinking about whether you would like to run for office, and how we can make Gay a more fun/welcoming/interesting region. :)

I was happy to vote on the Constitution, as fitting my position.

im happy! im talking to this really cute gay guy....wish me luck

Voted on the Constitution! Happy to do my part and I urge everyone else to do the same :D Thinking about running for office this go round, just not sure for what lol :p

Constitution? Constitution....

What position would you like to run for? I am thinking about an RC seat but I am unsure; I mean I have been in Gay awhile and on NS longer lol. Quite interested in RL politics as well

I don't know you very well Lilfella,so can't comment on that - though you should stand for election regardless,Otis-T would make a good RC member I'd think

Central pacific empire ambassador 17

So I am assuming now there is currently no appetite for any discussion on our relations?

Norton island

RC was what I was thinking.

Central pacific empire ambassador 17, as you may have noticed, we're currently in the midst of a vote on the regional constitution, together with approaching our yearly election cycle, so the earlier messages may have gotten a bit lost, unfortunately.

I can't (and don't) speak for the region as a whole, but I certainly appreciated your region's building bridges by holding a Pride Festival, and I would be glad to see our relations thrive. I simply suspect that discussion may have to wait for a little bit until the election-and-related-voting-dust has settled a bit, if it's not too much trouble.

You got my vote

RIP, Sub passivia, Dsa ambassador to gay, Norton de matos.

There are only 4.5 more days to vote on the 2014 Constitution. So far, only 9 nations have voted. Please, take a few minutes to read through the document, then exercise your franchise!

Alfoldia, for someone who doesn't speak for the region, you captured our zeitgeist pretty well!

Otis-T, just remember the first derivative of x(2) is 2x and you'll be fine--take the exponent, let it be the leading integer, then drop the exponent by 1.

Assuming we adopt the 2014 Constitution, all offices and appointments will be up for election and appointment each year (elected seats with a maximum of 3 consecutive years):

Founder/WA Delegate
Regional Secretary (appointed by F/WAD)
5 seats on Regional Council, at least 3 of which must be WA members
President of Regional Parliament (all resident nations of Gay are members of RP save ambassadors)
3 Supreme Court Justices
Regional Cartographer, Foreign Minister, Domestic Minister, Technology Minister, Immigration/Assimilation Minister, etc. (appointed by RC)
others as needed (usually appointed by RC)

You would think with 130+ members, we'd have no problem having multiple candidates for each seat, but historically we struggle to get a full slate with maybe RC being the only real competition. Soooo, if you are nominated, give it serious thought and (usually) say yes! We've NEVER been in a position where we couldn't find something for someone to do if they joined Gay mid-term and had a desire to serve.
