Someone tell me if I'm doing the right thing. Is a referendum democratic if the winning side made false promises to the electorate? Does the result stand regardless of imperfections?

Yes, that's just called politics.

Someone shared a prank video of them putting viagra in their brothers drink, then going out in public for the day...

I think I'm horrible enough to do that to some of my friends.

What's better: Tchaikovsky might be gay!

We'll find out if the USA elects The Trump.

Very true. Tchaikovsky when he was working for the Russian Ministry he had a mental break down when he was talking to a co-worker. He started to tear up an official document and then he started to eat the little pieces of it!

That is VERY illegal, immoral, and dangerous. All drugs have side effects; among Viagra's can be fainting when suddenly standing up. What if the little boy went to see Deadpool, sprang up after the movie was over, fainted, cracked open his head on the way down, and died? Would that be quite the "prank" intended?

The year I was a hospital chaplain, I met a man I'll call Frank. Frank had some friends over for a cookout. A "friend" decided it would be a fun prank to put some mescaline into Frank's hamburger. Frank went onto a bad trip and killed his grandmother, who he thought was Satan. He spent several years in a psychiatric hospital after that. When he was released, he became a raging alcoholic, because he couldn't stand the thought of what he'd done. He kept getting into car crashes while drunk in some naked suicide attempts. The time I saw him, he'd nearly done it. He was mostly bandaged up, couldn't move, and couldn't talk.

See how much fun pranking can be!

I have a Viagra-specific "prank," too. Two friends of mine were a gay couple. Apparently the one who was usually the top wasn't getting hard enough during sex for his partner's satisfaction, so the partner ground up a Viagra tablet and put it into his food. When the fellow found out, he didn't die or anything, but he DID end the relationship completely over the poisoning. So the one friend moved out of state and I lost all respect for the other one.

Cool! When LGBT Equality answered issues, he got a 26% bump in his Black Market, which bumped him up one place over Sri rutte. Looking at the regioning ranking, LGBT-E is (correctly) above S-R. They didn't used to refresh regional rankings until the minor update. Or maybe this WAS the minor update.

A new issue, #535:

The Issue

Productivity numbers in BearNation are plummeting, while employees are found slacking off on the job playing online games. A game called NationStates is especially blamed for the loss of an enormous amount of man-hours per day.

The Debate

"This game is an outrage!" says pointy-haired IT-manager Daniel Olaf Santos, who was recently permabanned from the site for repeated trolling and excessive picspam of phallic images. "Too many people waste their time playing silly simulation games and discussing LOLcats and transgenderism when they should be spending their time productively. Our economy cannot afford this nonsense; let us get rid of those online games, NationStates in particular!"

Accept

"Oh, no... oh, no... You can't take away my NationStates! I've got to have my NationStates!" pleads Jake Dredd, a prominent figure within the site's Conquer/Reclaim sub-culture. "Uhhh... I mean, uhhh... playing a game is just harmless fun, really, and it works great to reduce stress or helps one to get through a boring day at the office. What we need to do is improve the financial conditions for the people running the site, so they can give us even more features! That'll make all of us happier, and there's nothing better for productivity than a cheerful workforce, right?"

Accept

"I'll have you know that NationStates can be used for all sorts of productive purposes," insists Colin Pushkin, who looks suspiciously similar to site owner and operator Max Barry, apart from the fake moustache. "It can be a useful educational tool if integrated in school classes on politics and civics, for example. Just imagine it: an entire generation of tech-savvy youngsters armed with first-hand knowledge on how to navigate complex political issues. BearNation would be the envy of Gay. What are you waiting for, Bobby ButterPaws Nick, make NationStates a mandatory part of the curriculum in all schools!"

That's cute. Whereas summer brings CTE syndrome, it's usually my time to return from limbo.

It depends on the specific idea/school of democracy that you adhere to.

And Pope Francis decides to ask queers for forgiveness on behalf of Catholics.
Like all the disgusting suffering our group has been through is gonna be ignored because one man asked so?
Senseless bigotry against homosexuals is still rooted in Catholicism and they have shown no devotion in tackling that.
They're neither worth nor deserving of our forgivieness and they're the ones who turned the entire world against us after centuries of acceptance towards us during ancient civilization.

The only apology I'd ever accept from them is their eternal disintegration.

Its a start though... 10 years ago that would of been unthinkable, maybe this man will finally force the church into the 20th century.

As for whom I decide to forgive our not forgive is my own personal choice. I believe he's sincere and it will be a long journey.

He himself has already earned my favor, but more than plenty of Catholics still hold pathetic prejudice towards us.

Which year?

I can easily fit into my highschool graduation jacket, as it's 4 sizes too big.

I've been waiting to use this for ages.

I had the same thoughts. They move slowly. Wasn't it just last century they admitted the Earth moves around the sun, instead of the other way 'round?
Despite that, I do like this pope. I think he actually thinks instead of just relying on centuries of doctrine.

I'd accept their apology if it were sincere. That would mean endorsing LGBTQ marriage, LGBTQ priests, LGBTQ civil rights, hosting LGBTQ programming, perhaps actually housing some LGBTQ groups, probably the ordination of women, and abandoning the party line of "sex is only for procreation." It's hand to forgive someone while he's still punching you in the nose.
