I've picked up a new hobby: skateboarding. I'm a bit too old for that, but it's a load of fun. Although right now, I'm feeling my knee pretty bad, so I'm resting it up. I've been doing it for over a month, so far it's a lot of awkwardness and tumbling. My jiu jitsu training is coming in handy, lots of opportunities to test my breakfalling skills.

:D

That's pretty cool.

I have about £25,000 worth of survey equipment in my room.

Considering I earn about seven thousand less than that, I'm escaping to the continent with the profits...

You're always welcome to stash your loot at my place. I'll be away for the next couple of months.

Speaking off: seems like a new zombie apocalypse is upon us. And I'm not planning on missing this one. Any advice on how to maximise our survival?

Well, I dislike the gameplay heavy version they've done so I'm not participating in it. I was more a fan of the 'select cure or destroy and sit back and watch what happens' version they did the first time.

I did enjoy it the first time round.

Every time since then has struck me as a bit of a re-hash.

@O: I had to give it back, sadly.

Plus, I've no idea where to fence these things.

Ah finally internet is back.

Moving house is a damned pain... So is buying cars.

Got rid of the car that blew it's engine. Now I have something nice and Czech.

Hmm, I don't seem to get alerts that people have posted on the RMB any more.

Adaptus, do you mistreat your cars or do you simply have bad lack when it comes to them? This isn't the first car related incident IIRC. :p

Removed former post as per request.

Hm, well I saw "(1)" after Europa as notification that there was a new post (yours).

Huh...

Still not doing it.

I wonder if it is a setting somewhere?

This one car has proven to be a right pain.

About 18 months ago I decided to get myself a BMW. Because I thought why not. So I got myself a 3 series. Within a week it was in the garage with absolute shocking suspension and had had the wrong break pads fitted. And that set the tone. Over the course of 18 months I had tires go pop, electrics failing, wheel alignment issues, the lot. And the car wasn't exactly old, It was an '09 E90, with about 40k on the clock. But finally about 2 months ago I stopped at a roundabout and the engine just cut out, and refused to start. I had to get towed home, and as we pulled away I could see a trail of metal in the rear view mirror.

When I eventually got it to a garage I was told that an oil sensor has failed, and since BMWs don't come with a dipstick, and everything is checked digitally it was a nightmare. The engine has seized, drive chain had been sucked into the engine, which in turn shot the cams to pieces and finally ripped the clutch to shreds.

So I got rid of it. Now I have a lovely Skoda... Which I'm actually very very impressed with.

Tag, perhaps your browser needs updating?

It updated itself earlier on today, and still no flagging of new posts on the RMB.

I'll have to take a closer look tomorrow.

Need a quick cure

The only remaining light in my room just shorted.

A bit irritating.

Hi everybody I just moved here from eastern europe!

Hello, and welcome to Europa!

Welcome to Europa! Do enjoy your stay.

Top of the morning to you from Ireland.

Exiled?

Urgh, that will have been why.

I had it set to the "Antiquity" theme for some reason.

Travelling. Couldn't stand the dreary cold in my own country. In Peru right now.

Sounds exciting! Maybe I should go to Ireland, find me one of those pots o' gold so I can afford som travelling.

Have you eaten guinea pig so far? If you have, or if you do, please describe it. That's something I'm rather curious on tasting. I'm much fond of rabbit and hare and wonder it it's similar.

As a person who has had numerous guinea pigs as pets, I wonder why people do so.

They are very unintelligent animals, although they are relatively photogenic.
