It's worked before, right? But aren't we still doing wedding stuff? I've been doing my best to follow the RP, but I'm a little lost.

Oh, and I found terrible WiFi. May be able to post stuff now.

((I'm fine with it, but I need to update my fluff first.))

Hooray for free Wi-Fi! And yeah... the RP got shifted into a more sci-fi thing because Trotterdam black holed the planet. Wedding celebrations are awkwardly set aside.

Our town restored

And so, with their newfound courage and technology, the last remaining remnants of Our Town took off into the stars. Within weeks, new planets were discovered and new horizons were reached. As the months passed, Starlight Glimmer accumulated a small fleet, but a large amount of influence. Despite being chased by the Imperium of Horse throughout the galaxy, many ponies they met upon their travels donned the ideology and name of Our Town, being honored to participate in this new United Empire bound by equality.
((And now you post something like “However, the Imperium had not sat idly by as they went…”))

The Alicorns wrote:((Conexite R&D works in mysteriously familiar ways. Plus, moon base, remember? And working FTL))

The moon got converted into a military battlestation armed with a planet-destroying superlaser for the The Alicorns. There's mega malls in the battle station selling stuff at a reasonable price and most of the profits go to maintaining the station while the rest go to "business expansions".

Conexus enterprizes are mostly settled on asteroids so come on over and buy our space products! We offer discounts to frequent customers!

After the remnants of Our Town manged to escape from her suspiciously weak grasp, Skyla threw herself into building a new Imperium centered around the Unity System. The long years have seen the small colony grow into a capital she could be proud of. Pony, human, and youkai alike are encouraged to and do find new systems to settle. The fleet is built. The Imperium restructured as dead sectors are replaced by new ones. Incompetent ones told to chase the destiny stealing mare. A new era awaits the Imperium. The sun won't set on this empire, not when a galaxy's worth of them are in reach.

Finally, my old nations have been deleted.
Never forgetti, rest in spaghetti Terrad and Autrael. No one will miss you.

Quite an interesting RP you folks have going there. I might spectate later.

Oh and today is the day that S5 will end, it'll have Starlight Glimmer again. Augh, meh fehvert.
I've heard that S6 will be the last season. I feel like the show wouldn't be ready to end there, and that it would be more fit to end it at the end of S7 with a big movie actually featuring ponies rather than a marketing scheme with high-school humans. I am completely certain that my theory is what is ultimately done because of the 2017 movie. What do y'all think of the show reaching its expiration date in 1 to 2 years? What do you think this movie is about? Will it be good? Even if the show ends, its fandom will still exist starved of its show for years until G5 premiers when either that gets a fandom or it's another stinker like G3.5 and everyone turns away.

Sorry for another long non-RP RMB post about the show. I should probably bring this to Pony Lands rather than here. Silly me. Have fun with your RPs still.

That's alright Az biez.

Also, just yesterday evening of the Black Friday event in The Beltway. Consumers have been doing space one on one dogfights to chaotic free for all battles in an effort to obtain limited special sale products as low as 99%.

Thousands of deaths are reported along with retail and security employees who worked in The Beltway during the event.

Is that true?
If so, then that's terrible.

Hey, buisness is buisness. And the Imperial Navy would like a word with the more... successful shoppers. Good pilots are in high demand you know.

How many other nations is too many? I've got two counting Fresas now and pondering two more...

When you have more nations than you can be bothered to log into regularly.

Our town restored

((Ok, I am going to try to figure out how to post something.))
[1/2]
OUR CAPITAL, DEMETER, UNITED EMPIRE
Starlight walks across the pedestrian light-bridge that spans the Great Schism, looking at all she's built. Tall towers scrape the sky as starships swerve past them. The great port of Demeter, the largest in the United Empire. Numerous passerby walk past, their different cutie marks sparkling in the blue light of the sun, smiling at their benevolent leader. Behind her, Darkest scribbles down their agenda. "Alright," he says as he walks up to her, "you've got your meeting with the Council at 11:15, the CEO of United Spacecraft wants you at his dinner party at 2, and-" "You're joking, right?" she interrupts, "That old bastard wants me at his dinner party?" "That's what he said." "And I agreed?!" "Unfortunately, yes." Starlight picks up her pace as the bell tower echoes out eleven chimes. "Fine, then I guess I'm going. But don't let him even ask next time." They gallop along in silence to the front of the main hall and enter through its large glass doors. They walk through the foyer and into the main elevator, the doors closing behind them.

Question: How much time did we skip?

Uhh... enough to empire, I guess? Like, say a decade or five or something. I'll just assume we're affected by whatever keeps Montezuma alive from 4000 BC to modern days (been going back into Civ recently).

I was thinking a few months. For the most part, it's just Demeter and a few other planets that makes up the "United Empire".
I was going to make that a joke, but I can't think of what to post.

Ruse: Wait, that means... uh...

[Elsewhere]

Terra: You got it?

Cynder: Yeah, I got mom's credit card, how about you?

Terra: Yep, I got my mom's royal space limousine!

Cynder and Terra: Girls' night out, YAY!

Ruse: Eh, brain fart.

Oh good.

Y'all did build those interstellar empires rather fast. It's like the home planet was holding you back and I did y'all a favor by freeing you of its chains.

Those kinds of strategy games are kind of how I've been explaining my lack of a proper leader character in these RPs. I'm the ghost behind the screen, that supposedly controls everything but is never actually seen and has no defined character.

Though that doesn't work so well now, since I went and destroyed my own nation along with everyone else's, so there shouldn't be much more than my leader left. And after pulling a stunt like that it feels like it'd be fair to give y'all a target to shoot at in retaliation.

Ehh... can we just assume that the other leaders at the wedding also proceeded to steal/acquire whatever other FTL capable ships were lying around during the early parts of the timeskip? Plus add, like say a few years so we skip the boring parts where everyone's too busy consolidating themselves to really notice each other.

You know, I would have thought that being trapped together in the same moonbase without having the resources of your respective nations to call on would have driven you to notice each other more, not less.

It was never my intention to interrupt the wedding. I thought that having only the major characters and a relatively small remaining crew of redshirts, rather than an entire nation for each of us to hermit in, would facilitate character-driven RP, including between Skyla and Ruse.

But I guess if I want to have a say in where things go, I should be participating more. I haven't been doing very well at that lately.

Didn't we lay claim on the solar system ages ago?

I assume that explains why we've already established a space empire in a very short time span after our planet imploded.
