There's a difference between a forum post and legislation. Any mistakes in legislation would make it invalid.

Then, it turned out, Australia beat Marta & Brazil in the Round of Sixteen! They'll play either defending champions Japan or the resurgent Dutch in the Quarterfinals, and either would be a tough opponent, but the Matildas have proven to be one in their own right. I'll be rooting for them!

I'm glad that the excitment of the Women's World Cup and the Matilda's great performances (and getting to the quarters before the men's team have been able to) has really helped push women's sport into the spotlight a bit.

Unlikely it would have any impact, the error doesn't alter the legislation and if the law is questioned, courts can be asked to interpret the intent of the law and it seems pretty clear cut.

Also from a purely gameplay point of view it will unlock the region from their invaders.

And from a gameplay point of view and a real life point of view I am super pedantic. Plus it's going to pass anyway, so I can be pedantic and it won't help the invaders.

I must say I am a bit sick of all these repealing previous acts. It would be nice to have something left!

Just letting you all know that I am resigning from the position of Governor General. here is the link if you want to see it. I will be staying on as the founder of the region so I wont be going anywhere. http://w11.zetaboards.com/Australia/topic/11208451/1/#new

Rankmore, you posted your resignation in a private subforum, where the general public cannot see the text. However, I believe it is of great regional importance, and I believe you will not object to my posting it below.

I am being forced to resign as Governor General of Australia. I therefore hereby relinquish the position and resign. Best of luck to whoever Alta appoints in my place. I will stay on as protector and founder of the region but will play no part in any more politics.

I really don't want to soil anyone's good name, especially when the person in question is our Founder, and has been our Delegate for 464 days, which, in fact, totals the entirety of the history of this region since the refound besides the first three days. For the vast majority of that time, Rankmore has served this region well. However, I believe it has come time for a change, for a variety of reasons. I do have legitimate reasons; it's not that I disagree with Rankmore on a single policy issue and because of that I'm canning him; I respect him more than to do that to a man(/woman?) who has served for a year and 99 days as Delegate and 468 days as Regional Founder. Again, I really don't want to drag Rankmore's name in the dirt, and I hope all of you know that I have my reasons for this. However, if you really want to discuss this with me privately, I don't think I'll have any choice but to defend myself & my decision. Most of the reasons why I'm doing this is in the public forum, anyways. And, I truly am glad that Rankmore is sticking around as Founder, even though I did push for his leaving as Governor-General. Even if we could swap out Founders, I'd want Rankmore in. I'm glad to know not all bridges have been burnt, and that Rankmore is still helping us out. He has been an excellent Founder, and I hope he knows that I truly do feel that way. It was just his term as GG that I was not appreciative of. But, all in all, King Rankmore is a good person, a good Founder, and, in many aspects, was a good Governor-General, even though I obviously don't think he was perfect. I hope this doesn't damage our relationship too badly, and that you, I, whoever next becomes GG, and the whole of Australia all become better because of this experience.

Whoops sorry thanks Alta well said I think.

I'd like to congratulate Rankmore on a job well done.. I'd also like to thank Alta for providing such a well worded farewell to our illustrious leader. It's good to see we have such great nations at the helm of our great region. I don't say it enough, as I'm not that active. I am thankful though to be apart of this region.

Many greetings from a former raider turned Independent GCR soldier!

King Rankmore, from the months I have been observing Australia, I have seen you as a just leader. I am lost for words as to how to express, but I have now moved here to be part of the lovely community I have been visiting and observing for a long time. I just had to find a snuggle puppy that fitted the theme :P

America has now recognised same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

Will Australia make history as well?

I wonder what Tony abott has to say about this matter...

Why have all those embassies been closed? It's quite a lot.

Meulmania wrote:I notice you updated the World Factbook again, so who's the new G-G?

Not sure no announcement has been made.

Southern sons aus wrote:Why have all those embassies been closed? It's quite a lot.

That was an instruction from Alta and our parliament please refer all queries to Alta.

I didn't check all of them, but the ones that I did are all password protected, home to 5 or fewer nations, puppet storage, or a combination of all of these things. I wouldn't request an embassy with my puppet storage region because I think that would be of no use.

Basically this. Well said.

Construction of embassies with The East Pacific has commenced. Completion expected in 1 day 2 hours.
