2nd International Cheese Festival
“Hrarroom!” (= “Greetings”),
Ten years ago the International Democratic Union hosted the first International Cheese Festival.
We have now decided to organise a second such event, which will officially start on the 22nd of February (which is the 2nd Full Moon of the Lunar Calendar) this year.
Competition categories =
‘Best IDU Cheese’ (open only to IDU member nations)
‘Best Cheese imported into the IDU’ (open only to non-IDU nations)
‘Best Cheese-related Product’ (open to both IDU and non-IDU nations)

Even if you don't want to enter, please make a point to stop by after Feb. 22 to vote on the cheeses! :)
The first invitations are being sent to regions that already tend to interact with the IDU, or that I think are particularly likely to be interested in this event anyhows, but this would be a great chance for other nations / regions to establish a trade relationship with the IDU too.

Oh boy, a mouse tasting festival!
We have come to the conclusion that in order to reach the full potential of the totally naked fraternity, our military, our army, our navy and our air force will be totally and completely nude. The space force did object to nudity in the vacuum of space, so they are the one exception to the rule, but everyone else will be completely naked!
Transparent space suits might be a possible intermediate point...
Also, Exxosia is developing transparent space suits. Having a bit of an issue with anything that lets light through tends to let radiation through, but we'll get it working or kill several million trying. But you know what they say, "You can't make an omelet without irradiating a few million commoners."
That might work. We probably need to add led technology to keep out the radiation.
We are also working on micro portable spin dizzy technology, although they tend to be ... radioactive.
The best micro portable spin dizzy technologies so often are. We try to market it as a feature instead of a bug. "Refreshingly tingly!"
I think we settled on a low frequency Holtzman generator with a CO2 re-processor. There is only one other problem, "However, if a lasgun beam hit a Holtzman field, it would result in sub-atomic fusion and a nuclear explosion. The center of this blast was determined by random chance; sometimes it would originate within the shield, sometimes within the laser weapon, sometimes both."

Are there such things as clown vampires? If so, how do they put on their face? I ask because so many of you have a dark somewhat scary (for some its in a cute fashion though) outlook on life (unlife?).

This is to let you know that the deadline for entries into the 2nd International Cheese Festival (http://s10.zetaboards.com/IDU/topic/7560196/1/) has been extended by one week, so that this event will now open on the 29th of February, in order to give interested nations more time for preparing their entries.
The category ‘Best Imported Cheese to the IDU’ currently contains only one entry, and ‘Best Cheese-related Product’ (which was won by a fondue recipe in the first Cheese Festival) — which is open ‘outside’ nations as well as to IDU members — currently has no entries at all, so why don’t you give it a try?
