The jensmonian empire

The imperial republica wrote:Just released yet ANOTHER factbook, this time going into detail about The Imperial Republica's laws.

Oh ya, well I've finally finished my factbook. It only took a week (and it's still technically not finished) but it's still 10 times better than whatever garbage you could ever write.... Why do you even need a law book in the first place? In my country, every crime is punishable by being eaten by a spider shark. Sometimes people get eaten without even breaking any laws! Come on man!

Putting a death penalty on all crimes is ridiculous! You not only show no respect for human life, but you're also encouraging people to do worse crimes.

"If a thief knows that a conviction for murder will get him into no more trouble than a conviction for theft, he's naturally impelled to kill the person that he'd otherwise merely have robbed. It's no worse for him if he's caught, and it gives him a better chance of not being caught, and of concealing the crime altogether by killing the only witness." - Utopia by Sir Thomas More

There's a line between being funny and being an asshole. Watch yourself.

The thing is it doesn't matter if there are no crimes. 91.1% of deaths in my country are a result of old age! and the other two categories, lost in wilderness and acts of god, have nothing to do with crime. The spider shark is a menacing presence that greatly helps with our justice system. It's like having batman who kills people, but without any bad guys to kill.

We have the death penalty only for the most severe of crimes. For less severe crimes we have other forms of punishment such as banishment from the land. Of course, to be banished from Anime Daisuki is often worse than death for those people concerned.

And that's why we don't have banishment in our country ;)

The royal order of protestant knights

Hello all. New arrival (well, new-ish, since I hadn't posted in the RMB since I arrived.) here.

Just a puppet nation for my primary, WA-affiliated one Sternberg, which is currently residing in the allied region of Yggdrasil, so I imagine I might run into a few familiar faces here. Just getting involved with a second nation, both to build a new experience from scratch and to help broaden my horizons a little.

*waves* ^_^

I swear that Belldandy-sama's omnipotent, because she just keeps turning up wherever I turn! :D (JK, glad to see you, too)

Hey there Protestant Knights :) Welcome!

Thanks. Hope to shorten my name once I have the requisite population for it, but this is basically the long name for a particular organisation I am basing this "protectorate" on. :D

Welcome to the Islands Amman-ra!

9´th in shorest lifespans! Woo! 835´th in the world! XD

Jeez...1022 out of 1038 for shortest average lifespans. I guess it was a good idea to stop feeding people nuclear waste after all. :P

21st :S

At least my populace is happy. They're like lab rats on a sugar high.

I'm 847th, I've got some catching up to do :P

1021st. You beat me, Hamtown!

The royal order of protestant knights

440th for the new guy, eh? Huh, considering the Order's line of work, I was actually expecting something even WORSE.

Ah well, count your blessing while you can, no?

The jensmonian empire

334th :( this is a weird one because you would want longer lifespans, but you would also want to be ranked high.... Definitely not feeling so good about being in the middle

Worst of both worlds

Does your nation have an athlete whose sense of fashion can best be descried as "Tragic?" Do you think that "beachwear" means a moo-moo and a floppy hat with Elton-John-Signature Sunglasses? Does your nation reuse fishing nets as stockings?

Then send a representative to The Beach Fashion Show!

The opening event in the Islander’s Beach Championship involves Models from each Nation showing off some Beach Themed Fashion, either in the style of their home Region or Nation, or in a 10000 Islands tropical theme. This competition allows every participating Nation to either proudly display the splendor, creativity, and/or edginess of its homeland’s beach attire, or shamelessly pander for the favor of the local XKI Judges by displaying attractive beachwear befitting of only 10000 Islanders.

The games are being hosted right here in XKI! Register directly at :

The Games begin on 07 November, so sign up early so we know how whether or not to invite Diane von Furstenburg!

35th, not too shabby.

Taso asamania has organized a XKI Grand Pix. There's still an opportunity to host a race. Submit a track and a team here:
http://10000islands.proboards.com/thread/28678/xkigp-circuit-submissions?page=1&scrollTo=1106666

You can also just submit a team, but aside from providing a track hosting doesn't take any work.
