Welcome to the site and to our region. You can/could join the WordAssembly and vote on resolutions, you can challenge other nations (an in-game way to compare nations), you can start writing entries in your factbook, you can join our off-site forum (http://10000islands.proboards.com/) for more fun and games, you can role play in the NS forum section, discuss politics and so on. There's plenty to do. Have a look around and see what suits you best.

Civil rights are great. I just have the issue of wanting my country to be safe and also wanting people to have their rights, which can be a big conflict. I've hit a pretty happy medium lately, thankfully, and I've also learned that I can't always make everyone happy. It's only my third day and I'm already figuring out what I'd like for my country XD

I need to work on my factbooks, but I decided to work on my character sheet for the webcomic I'm working on instead. I don't have any ideas for my factbook yet anyway.

Does anybody know how I can bring up my political freedom? Or at least make it not outlawed? I am new to the game and I have not had a lot of experience. Any help at all would be great. Thanks!

You gotta wait for some issue that will offer an option to increase political freedom - while it's not always easy to predict how exactly resolving an issue will affect your country, generally you can safely assume that actions like extending voting rights, lenient treatment of dissidents and protesters etc. will increase your political freedom stat.

Ok, so you have a very protective society.....do you have a military? What does your police force look like? How safe are your cities? What does your cities look like? These are all the things you can put in your fact books.
