Outlaw it!! Blasphemy will not pass in Christianity!!
It really depends on what you want. My nation has full LGBTQ rights (including same sex marriage) but obviously not all nations aim to be free and I understand that (personally I don't really care much if same sex marriage is legal or not because it doesn't affect me but it's better for it to be legal because you could make some people happy).
So far, seemingly, there is no right or wrong in this game. It's all about what you want to do with it.
Realistically, it's just a game with coding that runs algorithms to determine how your kingdom turns out based on the decisions you make.
I legalized gay marriage, but again - it's seriously only a game where we get to make minor decisions once or twice a day.
Just have fun!

How about, "The Sheep Herding State of The Siverian Republic"?
Thank you!
I'm new to the game and was thrown into The Pacific, but I didn't really like what was going on there, haha.
So I'm happy to be here, thanks for the invite, and I look forward to being a member of the region!

Welcome, glad to have you here.
That is... rather interesting, but only the farmers in Siveria herd sheep.
Similar; I joined just so I could handle my own internal affairs. This was the first place that offered that, so here I am!

The reason why I believe it is important to legalize and legally recognize same-sex marriages (or a similar institution, like civil unions/registered partnerships) is not just because of the marriages themselves, but because of the legal recognition and thereby legal protections for couples that come as a result of a marriage.
The fact is that unless a couple is married (or in a civil union/recognized cohabitation) most countries would not legally recognize them as eachother's next of kind in terms of for example hospital visitation rights for your partner if you are hospitalized. There have been extremely sad examples of same-sex partners who didn't have that right to be considered next of kind to their partner because they couldn't get married and their relationship was not officially recognized by the state and because of that, when one of them got hospitalized and ended up in a coma, that partner's homophobic family (parents, siblings) was allowed to completely shut out the patient's same-sex partner from any kind of visitation rights or influence on the medical treatment. Subsequently, when the patient died, the same-sex partner was not allowed to attend his/her partner's funeral in any way because the family of the deceased partner wouldn't allow it... :'(
One such example can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR9gyloyOjM
That's the main reason why I believe it is crucial that the state recognizes some kind of official union between same-sex partners, if not marriage then civil unions (or recognized cohabitation) with the same legal protections as for marriage.
And besides that, even without the legal protection part, my argument would also be (purely from a perspective of justice and equality and fairness) that it ought to be possible for same-sex partners to officially declare their love for eachother and their desire to spend the rest of their lives together and be able to have that decision officially recognized by their state/country in the same way as opposite-sex couples that choose to make that commitment to eachother. ;)
For anyone asking, I spelled my nation as Siveria, not Siberia because I removed the B, ALRIGHT?
