Yeah, at some point on my other nation, i gaine the ability to make my own government type to "Most serene catholic republic". Though If you want to get technical, I think socialism and empire's are incompatible. Like a direct democratic monarchy. or communism and capitalism.

There is. as well as constitutional monarchy. But i said a direct democracy and monarchy are impossible, because in a direct democracy, power is derived from the power, the people pass the laws. Thus, a king/emperor couldnt exist

I see why couldn't there be socialism and empire? It is completely possible to have an emperor (he doesn't need to have power to call it an empire) and have socialist economy.

Hey there Haltamia!

The first thing I recommend you do is visit the forum: http://10000islands.proboards.com/

There's a ton to do there and the welcome center has a lot of the information you're looking for. Additionally there's a thread there to request a buddy, someone specifically looking to help you with any and all questions you might have.

Nation States is a really fun game, but it's also pretty common for people to feel like they've run out of things to do. If you're looking for more in the game itself, you can join the World Assembly. This allows you to vote on issues with other nations, and the General Assembly proposals can actually affect your country!

Also in game, you have the option to make factbooks about your Nation. You can write about anything you want! Our very own Taigawa has an extensive collection of factbooks if you're ever looking for examples of things to write about.

I think that's a good start, but if you have any other questions just post them here in the RMB and someone will almost certainly help.
