Hey there! Went for a stroll, aka a saunter, in my backyard pm wearing wet, knotted handerchief on my head.

@ Rainbows. Old British tradition when at sea-side (beach) if weather very hot (80 deg F & higher). Take handerchief soak in water, tie knots in handerchief's four corners then place nattily on head. Physics does the rest to cool pate.

I tend to go with a wet dish towel around the back of my neck when it gets hot here.
That said, the thunderstorm that just passed through dropped the temperature to 57F.

I don't have that luxury here. :P
It's a necessity in Tejas although when I lived in San Angelo the houses there had evaporative air conditioners as opposed to the freon based ones now.
I have a swamp cooler on the roof, but since I'm not allowed on ladders....I can't service it, so I only use it as a whole house fan.
