The Vast, as its name implies, is a large area of political intrigue and varied interests, with plenty of room for the imaginative and politically savvy. Located in what has panned out to include what would be Mediterranean-like, Germanic, Slavic, Russo and other cultures.

No limits in tech, WA membership, types of play, or anything else. Anyone's welcome who wants to hang out and not be a nuisance - using my region as a base to raid from is a nuisance. Don't do it.

We're in it to have fun, and would rather not have our tg boxes or board spammed with regional merge offers. It will be reported.

Apparently they don't need your stinking rules.

Then they don't need these cookies either. *distributes freely to the Vast natives and newcomers*

Bunch of inhospitable bastitches - see how you are. :P

Here's a silly anyways, in a hopefully not offensive to some tribute of sorts to Maurice Sendak - Christopher Walkin reading Where the Wild Things Are

Well, nearly all legal on this end. bike is registered, I've passed the written exam with no problem, and just have to wait until Wednesday to take the next available driving test. Been riding all over today, and I'm feeling confident about it all. Really is a nice bike - couldn't be happier with it.

And tonight I made a new friend when I hopped over a few blocks to the local little grocery store - she just started riding a few weeks ago, her son helped her get a bike, and hey - next week or two we're going to try and get together and go cruising. ^_^

Also - certain management at Wells Fargo sucks floppy donkey schlong. That is all.

Duly noted. Don't copy that floppy schlong.

For the record, the Empire's status as Most Avoided is a deliberate defense strategy. Who wants to invade and occupy a territory that you'd prefer to avoid?

Today, we fished. We fished a lot. We caught about 30 of the little buggers, so help me. Son was thrilled. We threw all but 3 back, and I caught those before he got there. He was still put out. Most of them were too small. One of his we could have kept, but ... as I promised, he who catches decides what to do with it. He tossed it back. Sadface.

In any case, I have two nice crappies and a smallmouth bass I believe, that I am going to cook on up here and see how it all goes down. Saweet. ^_^ Hope the weekend is going well for the lot of you. I'm enjoying it all while I can. Tomorrow ... Is going to be unpleasant. But hey - it's Monday. I suppose that fits.

Sooooo .... how did your two crappies turn out?

Rather tasty, thank you. Tossed 'em in some flour that I'd spiced up, fried 'em up in a pan, and deeeeeelicious. Of course I'm the only one who will eat fish here, so my take-home catches will likely continue to be small, however many I may actually pull in. No point wasting, although I recall my mom freezing them in blocks of ice to fine results. Bread pans, if I remember. Hilarious.

Today I go take the driving test on my bike at 1pm. Think I've got it down. Going out to practice this morning anyway. It's that swerve bit that gives me trouble. Stopping on a dime, all the little turns, shifting, all the rest, no problem. Bike is just the right fit for me, very comfortable with it, love getting out and riding it. Take care of this little formality, and I'm good to go. ^_^

Hope all's well with the rest of you folks!

Bigmouth bass is the latest in my list of 'weird Midwestern fish I've caught'. Was fun. :) Still no license. I got panicky last week taking the test. It's the tight turns that are getting me more than anything, it seems. Grr, argh. Considering I drive just fine otherwise. And passed the REAL test this morning when out on the back roads practicing: Deer ran out in front of me. No wild swerving, no skidding, no tipping over. And no problem. Just a 'holy crap' moment that left me with that 'life passing before you and there was NOT enough to it' sensation.

Anyways. Take care y'all - be good to yourselves. Somebody's gotta. :)
