In October of 2006, new forums for our Monty Python themed region were established by decision of the Grand Inquisitor.
In May of 2007, the nations of The New Inquisition voted to join the inter-regional organization Alliance of Capitalists, Conservatives, and Economic Libertarians in a referendum with 58% of the vote in favor.
In January of 2008, The New Inquisition - Europeia Alliance Treaty was signed into law. TNI and Europeia would remain allied until this region ceased to be active in 2016.
In October of 2008, the Progressive Democrats formed a new government after defeating the Royalist Party at the polls.
In February of 2009, The Independent Society was formed ahead of the first elections following the Proportional Representation Act 2009, in order to utilize rules intended to protect independent candidates.
In March of 2012, the Non-Aggression and Cultural Treaty Between The South Pacific and The New Inquisition, which included mutual defense provisions, was signed into law following TNI's role in defeating the 2011 coup against TSP.
In May of 2014, the Friendship Treaty Between The West Pacific and The New Inquisition was signed into law, in the spirit of friendship and to strengthen the mutual ties held between TWP and TNI.
In December of 2014, the Imperial Elections Act Amendment 2014 was proposed to make electoral processes adaptive to the number of candidates running and became the final piece of TNI legislation considered under the usual procedures.
