"Those are just short-term solutions," says solar engineer Robin Anderson with a distant look in her eye. "We should do everything we can to stop this leak AND invest in alternative energy. Who needs limited fossil fuels when you have solar, wind, and geothermal power? Don't you want your children to live in a world free from the oily grasp of big business?"

That's the one I went with when it came up. Here's the thing, the more you invest in/support a type of business, the more that business contributes to your economy, so me picking this could have a radically different result than if you choose this option.

I have always been investing in clean energy sources, and getting rid of fuel based energy solutions since I started my Nation, so choosing this option actually (finally) positively influenced my economy by like, one point. If you have a significant amount invested in the fossil fuels industry, choosing this option would devastate your economy, it's why you sometimes see people's economies absolutely plummet into oblivion sometimes, they put all their eggs in one basket, then dropped that basket in favor of something else.

The People's Republic of Estavokia wrote:So I'm gonna do some crowdsourcing I've got this Alien Invader issue, and I've already hurt my environment a bit with some past choices. Is there a choice that will get me out of this without having my military issue a fecking exterminatus order on my wild life? I was leaning towards 2 but I'm not sure.

A spectre is haunting Estavokia — the spectre of the Woodeating Spikeball. With scenic parks ravaged by this invasive species, citizens are clamoring at your door to advise you.

I've had this issue, and chose to dismiss it. I do consider the invasive species a problem, but handling that kind of situation takes a delicate touch, and all these options were, in my opinion, far too extreme, i would have preferred an issue that presented serious solutions, that were all very difficult to choose between. I've run into issues with similar topics in the past, with one presenting extreme cases, and the other presenting difficult, sensible choices, so here's hoping there's a better issue out there which addresses this situation.

I agree, this game loves to put you between a rock and a hard place all the time. The options just seem so radical all the time. XD

You could always write that issue. ;)

Ain't nobody got time fo dat, Ram. :P

Following new legislation in McStooley, absentminded citizens frequently converse with hallucinations.
Following new legislation in McStooley, political loyalty is enforced by way of chemical addiction.

So, I somehow got two issues about drug use and it's removal at the same time. Since my nation is big into drugs (top 1% region/world), I feel like it's wrong to ban them, but enforce them to get to Number 1! Probably a bad idea. Still, we can at least easily tell who needs to be sobered up by how much they talk to the hallucinations.

Option 3 dégraded my economy.. :(

I know, it is hard, plus we can't forget about civil rights

Yep it's hard to keep a good equilibrium, but that s all the point of this game :)

Btw option 3 degraded my economy but I am pretty happy with it actually, I have a great environment now :)

Great wild spaces of grass for my tanks !
