Lucerna Regional Message Board
Good to see you again, Glannau. I see that your old region was just raided, which brings me to a point that needs to be made now that Arum has CTE'd.
There have been complaints for a long time about Lucerna: how everyone is inactive, how we never get anything done, how it's gotten boring, etc. And there have been whispers about what to do about it. Some have suggested starting a new region, and some have left to find a more active place to be. I have been in communication with a few people about creating a new region, but responses have been very spotty. Because of that, I'll just be completely open and up front with all of you.
I'd like to create something new with all of you. I don't want to create a "new Lucerna;" this region was pretty clearly lackluster, and it was only a matter of time until it died. That time has more or less come, but there is still a strong core of us who have been together for nearly three years, and if you're interested, I'd like to create a new region with a democratic leadership and dedicated RP. However, I can't do that on my own; I need people who are willing to work with me.
So I'll just leave it at that. I wanted to put this out there, now that we're founderless and risk getting invaded and split apart. I'll try to be on chat as much as I can the next few days if anyone wants to discuss any of this.
Thank you, Ebatica.
Yes, I agree with all of your points. We need to get Lucerna back to its heyday, by any means necessary. I will fully support your missions and goals to restore Lucerna.
I'll be with you the entire way, I'll do all I can to help in whatever future steps are decided.
First, I'd like to apologize for the the lack of activity on my end, especially with this regional rebuilding effort, but it's been a rather hectic week (and year) for me. Sadly, it doesn't look like it's going to be clearing up anytime soon :/ (honestly I have no clue how I manage to devout so much time this past year), so you might have to make do without me.
Second; I completely agree with you. I feel that if we truly want to make something new, and have it thrive and succeed, we'd have to clear all the rubble out first. Although, I'm not saying that some of our core fundamentals, the ones that really set us apart from all the other RP regions, should all go, I just feel that many of these seemed far too idealistic for reality and just too specific a niche to attract enough attention in the greater RP community. So, although my own activity will be limited, I'd gladly participate in such a region.
I appreciate the responses so far, and I'm glad to have a core group of players willing to help with that. Also, don't worry if you're unable to get on much, Kam; that's totally fine.
I've gone ahead and created a rough region for us to use. Consider the name a placeholder, unless people genuinely like it. Likewise, consider the map and forums placeholders as well; I just got all of this set up so that we can get discussions started. Some rules and a constitution still need to be drafted, but we can talk about that on the forums.
Here is the new region: region=koholeth
Hope to see you all there.
I think I'll join. We probably just have to do something differently. In reality, we've had many different Lucernas, only under different names.
The old Vitius would've probably blamed this on Arum, but we all need to be more active. Thanks for keeping the region alive for as long as you could Arum, come with us to the new region and at least join the original bros :D
