Loading...The long and the sort of it my friend is that Greece was a region that was going to be revamped and refounded because it was a region that had no founder like one of the Pacific regions. The natives decided to clean out the region and at that vital moment when the Greeks were just about to refound the region in the name of Greek natives, Yauna, the Persian puppet, swoops out of nowhere and founds the region. Greeks that are natives are in uproar and demand justice and a liberation resolution is passed. Soon after though the Persians begin to ban and eject anyone who try and get a Greek elected or try and get the region back under Greek control. In the end, after a most glorious attempt at retaking the region (which we did for about an hour) the founder Yauna "coincidentally" is refounded and banishs not only allies and Greeks attempting to save the region, but also the natives themselves leaving Greece filled with the Persian invaders. Now the reason, as the Persians put it, that they took over Greece is that they believe that if they hold this region hostage the ERE is going to in fact had over their regions of Persepolis, Susa, and a few others that the Persians lost in a bad trade. Unfortunately for the Persians the ERE and Greece are not the same, so we have been stuck in the Persian ignorance and trolling nature for the past two years. Since the ejection of the natives, the Empire of Greece was formed by yours truly to serve as a refugee outpost to combat the Persians in an organized fashion. We have captured and lost the WAD position of their capital region the Persian Empire twice in our rebellion, have made several attempts of taking this region back, and successfully took over and refounded their second capital of the Empire of Iran as punishment until Greece is handed over. I admit our acts have been aggressive but what do u expect from a people forced out of their homeland and having no help from the World Assembly that promised freedom? We act not out of selfishness but out of defense for our homeland. When Greece is restored FULLY to its people and the Persians have admitted fault then things can go on, until then we fight. Over the past two years of war we now come to this moment where the Greek people have come back to their homeland and are ready to take it back.
I will summarise the ERE position. At the time of the invasion of Greece by the Persians I was WA of ERE, so I missed what was going on here. Jacavonia's post above is correct, so I will just add a few details about ERE.
ERE (Eastern Roman Empire) is a region, the centre of the Eastern Roman Empire Alliance of which Greece was a member. Greece was never a colony of ERE or under control of ERE, but was a free member of the alliance only. This means that it was never directly responsible for the actions of ERE the region.
The Alliance consists of 3 types of regions
1, Regions founded and directly controlled by ERE such as ERE itself
2, Regions founded by ERE but independent such as Empire of Rome
3, Regions who feely chose to join the alliance such as Greece.
some regions have choose to leave the alliance such as Council of Narnia.
All regions can take part in the government of the alliance.
As for us being defenders or Invaders, we are nominally defender, as ERE was in RL, but to defend sometimes you have to attack.
As all Greek Regions, we wish to see a Greece that celebrates Greek culture, both past and present. A Greece that is open to all.

Currently (this is to you Persians out there) the Greek people do not want to be in the ERE, we want to be independent and free from any foreign influence for a little while. However the Greek people, as far as I can guess from the general feeling of this region's membership, would like to extend diplomatic relations to the ERE in terms of friendship and mutual respect as brother Greeks. We don't want to be a part of their alliance, rather as Greek brothers we would like to build up a slow but steady relationship that ensures mutual understanding and help when needed. Grandon may disagree with me on this point but that is democracy, everyone has their own opinion and it should be respected. I respect the ERE as my brother Greek and it is only right that I should get to know the ERE a little bit, not intimately but enough to understand each other, that's all.
