What was the experience like? This is exciting.

Post self-deleted by Illand.

Do you know what "cis-gendered" means? The vast majority of people are cis-gendered.

Doesn't "cis-gendered" mean anyone who isn't trans?
I have met trans-people online before, and furries (though no otherkin) in real life, and they are just normal people. If they hadn't told me they were trans/furries, I would never have known (even despite the fact that one of them had a tail :P).

I am lucky enough to not have met anyone from the minority narcissistic variation of such people, which seem to be the "internet-accepted-stereotype" because their loud selfishness makes them stand out more online.

All of my friends are.

Oh damn, I apparently had the cis-gender definition wrong, lol.

Like a tail just attached casually on his/her pants?

Exactly that. Although, they only had it the first time I met them (at fresher's Freshers Fair at Uni), and the next time I met them, someone had apparently pulled it off and ruined it, so I don't know if it was part of their everyday attire, or if it was just for special occasions.

And this was back before furries became generally stigmatised by the internet, and the whole SJW movement things, so I didn't have any pre-conceptions about furries back then.

SJWs are against furries?

ah, no, I mean that nowadays, opinions on the internet are more polarised (in part due to SJW), and that people are "encourage" to choose as side, rather than be impartial, and decide for themselves, based on facts rather than feelings.
In modern times, there seems to be a strong anti-furry movement on the internet, that unfairly brands furries as "perverts who want to have sex with animals", and if that internet-phenomenon was about when I was younger (before I met furries in real life), I may have believed it, and shunned those RL furries I met.

Bronies however, are an abhorrent and disgusting slight against nature, and should not be tolerated in any form. They are heresy of the worst form... :P

I do not believe that is a fair statement to make. Saying that all bronies are bad is generalization of an entire fandom, or "sub culture", and by stating this you are dealing out some major hypocrisy. While it is true that there are some bronies who take things a little too seriously, and some who do things even the rest of the bronies are ashamed of, the same can be said for literally any group. Whether that group be religious, a fandom, or a clique they can always be, and often are, generalized and represented by their most extreme members. This is because these toxic or extreme members are the loudest, while the vast majority is quiet and simply enjoys a television show. You brought up the strong anti-furry movement and said that you yourself didn't believe those stereotypes, so how is it any different for bronies or any other group or fandom for that matter? At the end of they day, they're just enjoying a show and the dealings of the fandom and are doing no real harm to anyone.
