I hope Sydney win Today

Post self-deleted by Alta Australia.

Hey, everyone! This is Alta, your PM. I'd like to take a second to update you on what's happening over at the forums.

Treaty with TRR - http://w11.zetaboards.com/Australia/topic/11147526
Unibot, Libetarian Republics, and I have been in discussions for about a month over a potential agreement between Australia and The Rejected Realms. Finally, after much negotiation, we've released it to the public. Take a look, and comment on it: what's good? What's bad? Do you like the treaty? Would you vote for its passage? Feel free to tell me & the rest of the region how you feel; I'm more than glad to take each one of you's input. Quite a bit of debate time is expected, as we currently have no Speaker to start a vote.

Speaker Election - http://w11.zetaboards.com/Australia/topic/11128771
RPI and Cascadia have both announced their intent to run for Speaker of Parliament! You still have time to throw your hat into the ring if you want. But what of the current candidates? Well, both Cascadia and RPI are citizens of Australia. Cascadia was a candidate in the recent elections for PM, losing by only three votes to yours truly, and is currently serving as The North Pacific's Minister of Culture. He also has experience as a Private First Class in the North Pacific Army, TNP's ambassador to both the Coalition of Democratic Nations and the Coalition of Free Nations, Director of Mentoring of TNP's Ministry of Home Affairs, and as a Staff Writer for The Northern Lights. RPI did not run in the PM elections, but he did run in TNP's recent election for Speaker, which he won against former Speaker COE. RPI is also a Corporal in the North Pacific Army, TNP's ambassador to The South Pacific, Director of Staff of the Ministry of Home Affairs, a Staff Writer for The Northern Lights, and a member of the Executive Staffs of both TNP's Ministries of Education and Culture. As you can see, we have two very experienced, deserving, and worthy candidates. I'm sure whoever wins will do a great job.

Golden Koala I - http://w11.zetaboards.com/Australia/topic/11148610
You know who else did a great job? Almonaster, when he designed our winning entry in an interregional design challenge for the Golden Koala. Now that we have the design, we'll start awarding it to people, so keep an eye peeled whenever you get an opportunity! Almo, if you accept the award, you're welcome to make an acceptance speech.

Cabinet - http://w11.zetaboards.com/Australia/topic/11129602
Because I won't know who will be our next Speaker for a while, I won't finalize my Cabinet for a while. I'm looking for a Governor-General, Minister of Domestic Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Immigration, and Minister of Culture. I'm happy to say that I have more than five applicants, which I think is wonderful. However, I'm still open to more applications. If you want to apply to become a Minister, don't hesitate to PM me!

On the horizon: In the near future, I plan to introduce one or two new bills to Parliament, award at least one more Golden Koala as soon as tomorrow, and maybe even issue an executive proclamation. Stay tuned, and, if you haven't already, get on the forums! We'd love to see you there!

Well Sydney didn't win last week but we carved up amongst the codes this weekend.

Sad that we didn't win Eurovision :(

Tips for this week?

Go NSW

Unfortunately, I haven't been following RL Australian current events lately, but I just heard of The True Prime Minister of Tony Abott's latest escapades. May I say, your views on immigration & citizenship certainly are quite... interesting.
